Not an enjoyable experience. Play Desperados instead.
They finally fixed the viewcone bug that affected mostly AMD users. Now the game is enjoyable. Went from 20 fps to 90 with viewcones! Happily got both DLC after the fix. (which are a must!) Im might be biased, since my first ever videogame was Commandos BEL, but this is a great game. A raw experience very close to the originals. My only critique is the lack of some features we had in C2 and 3 which was looting and more open buildings, apart from that is a must get for us fans of the genre!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Mój entuzjazm do tej gry skutecznie zgasł przez ilość błędów, a jeden z nich kompletnie odebrał mi chęć do dalszej gry i jakikolwiek szacunek do twórców. Chodzi o misję Rapture. Wyczyściłem całą wyspę – dosłownie wszystkich przeciwników, zebrałem każdy ukryty przedmiot i zrobiłem wszystkie zadania poboczne. I nic. Wystarczyłoby przepłynąć nią kilka metrów i z pełną satysfakcją ruszyłbym dalej, do kolejnej misji.
I'm a huge fan of the franchise, but this game is not what it could have been. Performance wise it has problems with long loading screens, framedrops (especially when using the view cone, a huge part of the game mechanic) and choppy intermittent video's. Besides that the buildup of the missions themselves are often very satisfying but their is little to no continuity between missions. I would have loved some more character building and more reward for exploration. For example, getting ingridients from different parts of the field to put together explosions. Getting tools for a ghilliesuit, tools to climb or hide, etc.. It has so much potential, but the execution is poor.
Looks like the game has been well patched up with almost all the bugs fixed. There may be slight slowdowns in rendering at the corners of the viewing area, however this is most likely the game just scaling down extra movement outside the main mission focus zone. The final mission was pretty tough btw. Love the throwback to the original games such as the hard water factory, Leopold cannon (surprise here!), etc. Missed the old WW2 style cutscenes and narration, but this one seems to do the trick well too in connecting every mission together. Was waiting for Commandos to be remastered, but to be entirely re-done is just the icing on top. Definitely worth a playthrough as these missions will challenge you.
What a comeback - well done. Consider other theaters like Japan as the enemy. Graphics, sound, scenario detail was excellent.
Horrible Game. The interface is too un polished, can't make a commando run from hiding for a quick take down on command mode. Commandos can't jump down even a flight of stairs. The response to stand/crawl is so slow it feels bugged. Enemies feel dumb. There are no inventory or uniforms or special tools/weapons to be found. And there is almost no unique ability in the commandos that will make them useful: The knife is the only real tool you will be using, Not only is way behind Desperados 3, is way behind Commandos 2. I regret the purchase.
