Reviews
There is a good game in there somewhere but there are far, far too many glitches, performance issues and bad design decisions to recommend it. Instead, get Desperados 3 or Sumerian Six. Pros: + Decent story + Pretty good RTT gameplay + Decent visuals Cons: - Bigger maps with a lot of enemies start chugging after about half an hour into the mission with performance deteriorating further as the mission progresses. - Dumb commando AI which sometimes glitches out when doing a coordinated attack - Bad camera - Small enemy variety - Last mission is the worst level I've ever played on in 5+ RTT games I've played - Many bugged achievements in the DLC that don't unlock - Some of the commando skills are completely useless like the pistol which can't even one shot any enemies - A ludicrous number of enemies on some missions, there were over 200 enemies on one mission

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Commandos: Origins manages a difficult feat: it honors the legacy of its predecessors while carving out its own identity. It may trade the "kitchen sink" arsenal of Men Of Courage for a more focused, character-driven experience, but that compromise results in a tighter, more intentional tactical loop. For fans of the series, this is the modern evolution we’ve been waiting for. It is challenging, beautiful, and most importantly, it feels exactly like Commandos.
I don't have a lot of words to say about the game. It's simply a masterpiece.I absolutely recommend it without any hesitation.
After all the patches the game is fun and worth the time.
从玩一代开始,大概已经过去20多年了,我很高兴人到中年还能见到自己心爱的游戏出了新版,而且没被魔改
This review includes spoilers: PROS: Overall the game has interesting changes since the old games, specifically: 1. The Driver is more interesting now that has some of thief's skills. 2. The Marine (who was my favorite) is really good, since you can spam the throwing knives with harpoons, making him broken sometimes 3. The Sniper that can hit up to two targets in a row with 1 bullet is really impressive 4. Most of the operations were really interesting in terms of level design. 5. The Spy doesn't steal any enemy's dead soldier's uniform, he picks the uniform from wardrobes around the map, which I found really cool, since it feels more natural 6. There are a couple of upgrades where you can interract with the environment to trigger traps in order to kill enemies, like trigger a high voltage or meddle with hot tubes CONS: The game has tons of problems, especially with bugs, more importantly: 1. One of them ruined the game completely cause I cannot progress to the final operation. During operation 11, where you try to exfiltrate, you cannot trigger the final act where you enter the truck and leave the basement. Tried everything, nothing worked. This bug is known since May and one of the developers is already informed about it, yet again the bug persists. UPDATE: It wasn't a bug, BUT the mission was unclear. The mission was that you need to exfiltrate using the truck, but the missions target kept showing the parking lot leaving the impression that the operation would be completed automatically after this. I even tried to drive off the base using the exit I used at start to infiltrate the basement but didn't work. You need to leave from another exit. 2. Half of the time the characters don't do what you force them to do (especially when you try to force the sapper cut some wire). 3. Right click 80% of the time does not select another player. 4. There are cases where the camera changes and goes randomly to another location on the map, making you lose the sight and being killed by enemies 5. (this is a bad design choice rather than a bug) When you drag a dead body and open a door to move it inside or outside a building, the character drops the body, opens the door, leaves the body there and continues by foot. 6. The mechanic where you can see the inside of a building or under a bridge or inside a tube half of the time doesn't work very well, because you need to be extremely close to the entrances in order to reveal it. Another problem with that mechanic is that in the operation 11 where there's also a tube you need to cross, when you have your team inside the tube while a few others are outside, make the environment break and can't see who is outside, even if you select a character outside the tube (it keeps revealing the inside of the tube and can't see which enemy is outside the tube next to it). Other kind of CONS is the fact that the Spy doesn't have the officer uniform, which is a really huge downgrade for people that loved playing with the Spy, while they gave him infinite amount of poison uses plus a close range snipping ability with a silencer, making him broken most of the time. Some of the objectives (especially those in operation 11) are really bad designed and don't make a lot of sense (like the fact that you need to gather on a specific area on the map to make a plan, which area is next to a gate tons of enemies in both sides). The Sapper doesn't have the ability to use the land mines anymore. I mean, that's his job right? Make the world go kaboom in numerous ways, yet this ability has been given to the Driver for some reason Also, the Sapper doesn't have the ability to find and defuse land mines like in commandos 2 (huge drawback) A really bad design is the fact that you can see the interior of a building or tube when you are really close to the entrance, which I personally think is not very natural, I would prefer it to have the old commandos 2 mechanic where you could just use the "see through keyholes" mechanic, but that's just me. Finally, a huge downgrade is the fact that you cannot react with the objects around the map like you used to with commandos 2. You cannot search wardrobes, boxes, chests, drawers, desks and many more OR have global items like the wine bottles, the sleeping pills you used with the bottles to make the enemy soldiers go to sleep etc. The game is really low compared to Commandos 2. It feels more like an upgrade of Mimimi game, rather than a Commandos 2 one. If they made Commandos 2 fully remake (not the remaster hd excuse of an upgrade), it would be tons of times better. It's really sad, because this franchise was for many (including me) one of the best experiences of their lives and brought them a lot of nostalgia. But the fact that this game is already 1 year + released and still has serious bugs gives the users a really bad gaming experience.
I love this game, if you are a fan like me of the commandos series, this one it probably the best. I love multiple actions at the same time. Can wait for more DLC.
Tiene bugs
Nice to see a Commandos game again. It's been a long time. Although I noticed that you can't look through keyholes, climb through windows, or loot bodies in this new version. Commandos 2 had it all!
Not an enjoyable experience. Play Desperados instead.
