If a multibillion dollar company cannot maintain their game while selling it for 15€, I believe pirating it must be considered legal.
The end of an era This might be the best assassins creed game. Its Ezios last journey before Connor and ubisoft did Ezio justice. although not introducing too much new side content it did build up on what was already established well enough. For example the assassin recruits, although not all assassins can become master assassins the ones that can all have unique missions that serve as lessons which characterises them even if only a little. The templar dens, another returning feature from brotherhood got a nice glow up in my opinion, i know many people didnt like the den defence mini game but honestly it isnt that bad and hell it doesnt even trigger that often but when it does its some mindless side fun. Onto a downgrade, the way you unlock the armour of Ishak Pasha. although the armour of Ishak Pasha looks badass the journey to get it is so underwhelming and not rewarding compared to what you had to in ac2 and brotherhood to unlock their respective armours. it was a huge downgrade consisting of just collecting 10 pages and doing one mission and bam you have the best armour in the game its a joke. As for the two main new additions they were great if a bit underwhelming. The new hookblade is cool and lets Ezio do couple new tricks as well as making traversal of istanbul alot more fun with the ziplines and other countless ways you can use it. Bombs are a cool addition on paper but i didnt find myself using or exploring the feature too much only sticking with the same three bomb types of Sticky explosive bomb, smoke bomb and distraction bomb. The story, i defo have a bias as this is the first ac game i played but this might be the best or at least one of ubisofts best stories they have ever told. It gave more insight onto Altair as well as showing Ezio as a wise mentor conflicted with the creed and wanting a peaceful in his old age. Although the story didnt really have a consistent villain like 2 or brotherhood it did have amazing new side characters of Sofia and Yusuf, With Yusuf specifically stealing the show whenever he was on screen. Sofia had big boots to fill after the Cristina memories of brotherhood and although not as good as Cristina, Sofia did have some nice chemistry with Ezio and they bounced off each other nicely. This game managed to give satisfactory endings to two of the series most iconic assassins and i dont think we will ever truly see another ac game like this ever again, its lightning in a bottle, to end off the review. defo get this game if you played ac 2 and brotherhood its a beautiful send off for both Altair and Ezio. it isnt too expensive nowadays and its more than worth the price for the content you get. masterpiece of a game

I like this game very much, the storyline is vibrant, the cities and landscapes are beautiful, but there is one issue here. It is the developers. Ubisoft... can you please get yourself together. This is not a game that you want to sell to people in 2026, like what do you mean by logging into the game every time? I was playing on the SteamDeck, do you know how hard it was to put in my randomly generated char+uppercase+lowercase+number password in with the on screen keyboard relying on the controller? No obviously, becuase if you knew this was not to be like it is now. Secondly, why do I have to always get terminated from my account when I am playing on my PC and then I move back to the SteamDeck? This is an older game, even if I was sharing it with someone else, I am sorry but I would not be sharing it while I play. Steam already does not allow that to happen, I really do not get the effort (to just enshittify the experience from what I can tell) put in here. This is no new game that people buy one copy of to pass on multiple devices, and since when is it impossible for a gamer not to have a Steam Deck and a PC together? Never heard of it? I just do not know anymore. Anyway, I do still recommend playing it even with all these issues, this game is just majestic, and it is a great continuation to the previous 3 games. I also enjoyed when it went back to the Altair era a lot. TLDR: Great game and great storyline brought down by crappy AAAA company madness... Enjoy playing though!
The game is good. Much better than any of the new ones. UBISOFT became the biggest POS company in the history of gaming. UBI launcher is trash, annoying and I hate it with every fiber of my being. I HATE all these glued on ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launchers that are "popular" now days. EA, UBI, Paradox, Blizzard and my Grandma all have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher I don't need and don't want. Wastes drive space, updates all the time and wastes my time constantly and only used as spyware and a second DRM. WE DON'T EVEN NEED A FIRST DRM! It just ♥♥♥♥♥ up performance for those whom buy legit! I can get a better framerate and general experience if I pirate a game than buy it! The pirated version has no DRM and NO launcher! Their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher running in the background not only collects data but further ♥♥♥♥♥ up performance! What kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ service is this? I PAID MONEY! And I get a WORSE experience! WTF? UBI also fights Stop Killing Games which is the most reasonable initiative in the history of gaming and just generally made up of evil, immoral, unethical, degenerate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I would not even be surprised if they turned out to be actual demons from HELL. (I mean Ubi, not SKG. SKG are heroes!) I NEVER going to buy anything UBIsoft touches again! I won't even play their games I BOUGHT LEGIT! I rather pirate it so I can avoid their ♥♥♥♥ launcher, DRM and I do not support them in ANY way. Not even by adding visible hours to their games.
!!! THE DLCs ARE NOT PLAYABLE WITHOUT MODS !!! This makes the game impossible to 100% without mods, there are ways to unlock the two dlcs, but this should not be needed nonetheless. Other than this, the game is great, a nice conclusion to Ezio's story
Sadly this game is no longer playable even if you force it on older DX versions or run on windows compatibility mode, as when you alt + tab or an app goes Infront of the application, the game crashes.
