About
Build and manage a small colony in the New World during the 17th century. Colonize is a calm, no-combat settlement builder focused on resource management, production chains, trade, and keeping your people alive.
There are no armies, no enemies, and no warfare. Your challenge is the colony itself: food, shelter, economy, workers, weather, and the needs of your settlers.
Guide your settlement through three historical-inspired locations: Roanoke, Plymouth, and Bermuda. Each scenario offers different conditions, resources, and challenges.
Manage Resources
Gather raw materials, refine them into useful goods, and keep your colony supplied. Plan production chains carefully and make sure your people have what they need to survive and grow.
Trade with the Old World
Use trade ships to exchange goods with England. Expand your economy, bring in missing resources, and keep your settlement moving forward.
Play at Your Own Pace
Colonize is designed for players who enjoy slower, more thoughtful city-building without combat pressure. Adjust the difficulty to create a more relaxed or more demanding colony management experience.

dev seemed to have abandoned this game. saved games wont load, and it looks like it been a problem for months
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! see the edit No tutorial, hard to delegate workers to tasks. No defined in game goals. messages on the left should stay until they are dismissed. Other than people death no real obstacles, does not auto save and Game keeps crashing. Lost a lot of played gametime there. I was trying to see the game through to see if more stuff would be introduced, or towork out a point beyond basic survival, but with the crashing and no auto saving its near impossible. Many times the game loads, but the loading screen wont go away so I cant get to the game. The game does have potential if the dev can address those issues. The graphics on the boat on the dock are trippy too. Only half of them move, but that does not affect gameplay. Edit: cannot load a single saved game. Makes long term game impossible. Hating the game now. Save your money.
Unfinished game, development seems to have stopped. I want my money back.
I just requested a refund. Population mechanics are just insane. For some reason, people age at an absurd rate, i.e. gotta be something like eight or ten years per ingame year. This is somewhat offset by equally absurd birthrates - on my 2nd playthrough the only couple that had moved into a house had four kids within like six ingame weeks. Considering that everything else is calculated at normal speed - such as building -, this pop mechanics make this game just unplayable. How tf could anyone develop anything as stupid?
I don't recommend you buy this game until the bugs are fixed, but I do suggest they fix the bugs. The game is fun until you can't load your save.
Game went from hot garbage in early access to luke-warm garbage in full release I think it's worth a cup of coffee, like cold gas station coffee, if you can get it for that price then yea I totally think its worth it.
ABANDONED game. Incomplete and POS developers moved on. Never buying again from this group.
Dont' buy this game. It does not work for now and will most probably never do! They did allready make several games which never has been finished. Just make some money with some never supposed to be finished games. JUST DO NOT SPEND A DIME TO THEM!
Don't fall for games made by the publisher. They put out broken beta updates and then call it 1.0 delivery after no updates in 10 months from when they went early access. The game is totally broken now. You can't shift building placement anymore. I am not sure what they fixed in this update. I personally will never support this developer and publisher again.
For the cost I am disappointed in how slow this game loads. I also have citizens frozen in place which causes them death. I reassigned them, I shut down the game to reload it to see id that would fix it. It takes more than 10 minutes the first time I did that to load the game. I am running a pretty new MSI laptop so I don't think it's a problem on my end. I wouldn't waist the money again if I had known about these issues. The loading alone renders this game unplayable. All of this in the first 30 minutes of play.
