Coffee Rush

Coffee Rush is a match-3 game with some light strategy elements. You run a coffee shop and the matches you make are used to fulfill customers' orders, wherein each order requires a certain quantity of various items. Each customer has a certain amount of patience, and the longer it takes to fulfill their order, the more their patience decreases, and the less they will pay for their order. As you make certain matches, "treats" appear on the board, and when you match these treats, it increases a customer's patience value.. You can also purchase treats which can be used at any time to increase a customer's patience. This is where the light strategy elements come into play -- managing the patience level of each customer (up to four at a time) while you work to fulfill their order. There are a total of 50 levels ("days", as the game refers to them) and it took me 7.9 hours to finish them, so I'd say it's well worth the price. In my playthrough, I found only two potentially negative things. First, the game does not support the Steam overlay. Second, the store pages show the game in widescreen mode, but it actually runs in 4:3 aspect ratio (in windowed mode and in full-screen mode). I don't see either of those as a big deal in this game, but I know some people do, so I wanted to point it out. If you don't like match-3 games, or you don't like time-sensitive tasks and want relaxed games only, then this isn't for you. However, if you like match-3 games and don't mind working against a clock, then I definitely recommend this game.

Coffee Rush is a Match 3, Time-Management, and Strategy game. Race against the clock, match ingredients, and make combos to finish and serve up coffees and treats to the masses, all while trying to reach those sweet money goals! So before I go into things, this game is old, but it is also a favorite game of mine. I had originally bought this game on CD from a Scholastic Book Fair when it first came out way back then and I used to play it so much back then! It's almost been about 20 years since I even played this game, and even seeing on Steam was a real surprise, but man, playing this game again after so long was just so Nostalgic that i genuinely missed playing this game. Traverse your way through 50 levels, each separated into sets of days across several different zones of a small town. Each time a new zone is unlocked, new challenges will begin to emerge. Such as; longer day cycles with more customers to serve, locks on random ingredients to prevent matches, and higher money goals that must be achieved in order to complete the day. As you progress through the days you will slowly be introduced to the wide variety of characters this game has to offer. Each person has their own patience meter and payouts for what they order. There is also some dialogue, but it isn't much, however their little one liners are fun to listen to when you do finish their orders. When a day is completed, any coins that are earned throughout the day can be spent for new upgrades at the upgrade counter! Each upgrade comes in different forms such as; New Coffees: The better the coffee you buy, the more money you make from each sale on that specific coffee. Next is Treats: these boost a customers patience meter and can save you when you're in a pinch. Lastly, Sides: The Extra Money Makers! Serve these to the customers with their coffees to make a little more money on top of the initial sale to break goals much quicker. Speaking of Upgrades, there is still one last thing I would like to mention about buying upgrades and it comes off as more of a warning for new players. When a new coffee is purchased, the last drink you owned will go "Sold Out", meaning for the rest of the game you will no longer be able to make or serve that beverage, forcing you to continue buying pricier drinks to keep up with the higher goal markers. Additionally, each new drink purchased raises its ingredient requirements list making it harder to make the beverage in a certain amount of time. The game does do it's best to tell you about this when you buy your first set of Coffees and Treats, but you do have to plan accordingly and strategically to not get overwhelmed later on. I say this because I definitely made quite a few mistakes early on in my own game. Before starting your adventure there is a; difficulty setting! So if you want to go at this more casually you can or if you would like to test your skills a bit you can also set it to be much harder the choice is all yours. There also is a story in this game, granted it is super short, but it was still good nevertheless. Coffee Rush is a great game! Sure, it is old so its not gonna be perfect by any means, but I would still highly recommend this game to anyone who has never played this before, or to anyone who has played this game before and wants to relive that nostalgia!

Played only up til Day 7 of the Flash version when I was young. Now playing the entire game, it is definitely a must-try for any Candy Crush fan, though not in large sessions. - Collect-a-thon which encourages more match-3 outside of getting the core ingredients - Game does overstay its welcome because of how long the ending levels are (Last 2 Days took a near 50-minute recording to finish) - Trains your reflexed and brain well in terms of getting the right things to make the coffee - Easiest mode is very tolerable in terms of hitting the highest goals

This game is a delicious time waster as well as being challenging and fun. I like that it keeps your mental reflexes sharp while being entertaining with funny characters. It's been a go-to for me since I first played it ten years ago as a Yahoo game. It's nice to play on my own computer without needing flash player to run it anymore. Even though I've capped it out at the highest difficulty it's still fun. Now and then there will be a glitch that will abruptly end a scenario with a customer lost but it really doesn't matter because you can just restart and do it again.

This game is a very fun match 3 game. It is by far my faivorite match 3 game!
