This game is like hanging out with your friend if your friend was intending on stabbing you and torturing you while playing soft jazz and reading philosophy 10/10
This game claims to be $1.59 on sale but beware, it's going to cost you atleast a new mouse and a monitor. And your sanity.
really therapeutic once you get over it the first time, good comfort game
Getting Over It

The Philosophical Masterpiece by Bennett Foddy
This game is first and foremost a difficult and rough game, and it in part was made such to compliment it's themes of perseverance and message of B-Culture. In it Foddy talks about how games today are often built more for player engagement instead of player experience, and how in the effort to appease players, creativity has been lost in lieu of trying to pull in players instead of creating something truly unique. Over the course of the game the message about player's desires shifting over time becomes more personal, as Foddy begins talking about how happy he is to make progress. It becomes personal between designer and player, the person who went out of their way to endure and succeed. This I believe is lost on some people, particularly speed runners. "When games were new, they wanted a lot from you; daunting you, taunting you, resetting and delaying you. Players played stoically. Now everyone's turned off by that. They wanna burn through it quickly; a quick fix for the fickle, some tricks for the clicks of the feckless..." Being able to build something on your own out of found parts is part of Foddy's message, and a lot of things in life when people try to rush past, they lose out on the opportunity to learn from it. I started playing this game during a particularly rough spot in my life 5 years ago, and slowly I've come back to it every so often to mull over it, to both work towards 50 wins as well as take the message and make my own B-Philosophy to live by. I'm doing much better now, and that in part is due to this game, among a massive amount of effort put in. "Imaginary mountains build themselves from our efforts to climb them, and it's our repeated attempts to reach the summit that turns those mountains into something real." This game is hard, and the first time will suck, but you can learn. It took me forever to beat the game the first time, but my second time around I beat the game was the next day. It is not unfair as people claim, it is a very much skill based game, and you have to dedicate your time to learn, but it will be rewarding. "It feels like we're closer now, composer and climber, designer and user. You could have refused, but you didn't. There was something in you that was hidden that chose to continue." You have it in you to beat this game, so go do it. 10/10 - Probably the best game ever made
getting over it with bennett foddy is a game where you get over it with bennett foddy
There is no way to describe how much I despise this game. The physics are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, controls are ♥♥♥♥ and everything goes wrong all the time. The hate I have for this game is unmeasured. I would rather amputate my fingers and shove the fingers I cut off in my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, where rats would nibble them away, slowly taking bits of my finger, and then they would want more of me, agonising pain would fill my body as they took chucks of me apart, my flesh ripping between their teeth until I no longer exist, than play this godforsaken game. In the short time I've played this game, I've already realised that I do not have the dedication to play the equivalent of what it was like to be a spurs fan in NYC. If you are planning to get this game, I would tell you to buy it. Because everyone has to experience loss before living life to its fullest. And I will forever be glad that I played this game, because taking a deep breath and closing it felt just as good as the $2.99 i spent on it (it was on sale). TLDR, Im a ♥♥♥♥♥ and getting over it is my daddy.
Games too easy. I just cldnt stop playing till i compleated all achievements. I did not rage a single bit. Just buy it and try it then you too will believe me : )
