visual novel in which you read the story and make choices that affect its ending in an alternate reality of Russia ✅Several endings to the game ❌This product should not be called a game, like all those that are book-like. This is a gaming platform, not a book platform ❌With the above flaw, this product should be free ❌Very bad pixel graphics, I hate that ❌Weak, repetitive soundtrack ❌❌Verdict: [b] Terrible [/b], [strike] Bad [/strike], [strike] Mediocre [/strike], [strike] Decent [/strike], [strike] Good [/strike], [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for tested game) If you want to see more of my reviews, you can find me on my curator page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45994324/ and on my group: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/CuratorKingViking If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. Игра может и клёвая но я не люблю игры сразу по одной причине в стиме. Нельзя сделать фотографию в игре. А так отличная игра чтобы поугарать над Рашкой пидopашкoй. 1337 из 228 блииин никитка бабок не получит=(
Russian World is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This crap, badly written, badly translated E-book is just a fictional story lambasting Russian life, but the content is just pure garbage and the whole thing should be avoided by all. Here's my standard boilerplate for crap E-books in case anyone isn't sure what does and doesn't constitute a video game: Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you wanted to read the next sentence, instead of just turning the pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that experience, but with much worse writing (because if these guys could write professionally, they'd be published authors and this would be on shelves in bookstores, and they wouldn't have to pay Valve $100 to self-publish this on Steam), and you have your average Steam e-book. You can get better quality books and comics for free online or from public libraries, or from bookstores for a fraction of the price of this "game". Steam isn't a comic book store, neither is it Netflix, it's for games. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. It's impossible for me to recommend things to PC gamers that aren't really games. The poor quality of this E-Book is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality E-Book is to be expected. While game reviews must be about the game, as this review has been, it's sometimes important for gamers to be aware when there's problems with the developers. In this case, Nikita "Ghost_RUS", a Russian shovelware scam artist who routinely abuses Steam by polluting the marketplace with shovelware like this game. Nikita "Ghost_RUS" continually sends a message of racism, bigotry, homophobia and hate speech through his games, in direct violation of Valve's guidlines for acceptable game content. You can read more about it in [url=https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Sentinels_of_the_Store/announcements/detail/1663386372399476871]this article by the Sentinels of the Store[/url] curator group. This is something I feel potential customers should be aware of for two reasons. First, I understand completely that gamers may not want to buy games with such horrible, antihumanitarian messages of hate such as games from Nikita "Ghost_RUS". Secondly, gamers must be aware that if Valve decides to do the right thing and enforce their policy against hate speech and bigotry in games, games such as this will be banned. So, buying games from Nikita "Ghost_RUS" may be putting your money at risk. Russian World is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the E-Book, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. [b]Note:[/b] Because this is more of a "joke" game, intended to draw attention from controversy or in the hopes of going viral because it's "so bad it's good" (but it isn't good at all), there's nothing here to offer to serious gamers. As usual, with most awful/joke games, all the comedians come out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this E-Book are joke reviews, such as "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" etc. Because most of the reviews are as insincere as the E-Book itself is, the positive review score for this E-Book should be disregarded.

Bizzare, poorly translated, hack of an anime visual novel. The game is poorly made and obviously not finished; many options will cause a CTD or softlock, so obviously only one specific path has really been planned around. Despite that, this game is an absolutely fascinating look into the work of someone whose brain simply works differently. Behind the strange story, nightmarish "gameplay," and obviously unfinished nature of the game there is a strangely, beautifully artistic rendition of life in Russia. In between the moments of insanity there are very painful retellings of the hardships of living in a second world country that read like a cry for help. Even though the actual literary value of this game are slim to none the subplots told within the actual "story" are surprisingly captivating and I wish there were more media like this that simply depicted the hardships of other countries in a very direct and personal, if somewhat exaggerated way.

Holy crap. I have never played a greater game in my life. The way the story is crafted is just genius, it's simply impeccable, especially on your 5th play through, where everything comes together and you realize the true message, though I won't spoil it for you. This game, in a strange way, changed my life. Even though I've only spent around 10 hours playing, it's just changed my world view on many things. The pictures, the characters, the dialogue. It's really something special that I can't quite explain. To any that might be reading this, buy this game. Buy this game and play it over and over again. You will not regret it. And to the creator, who might or might now be reading this. Raise the price, because the generous .99 price tag is simply to low for such a masterpiece.
