For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Code Vein happened to be a hidden gem for me: beautiful characters, great story, interesting levels, cool boss fights, fun combat and a blood code mechanics in addition to general souls-like gameplay. I even enjoyed the Cathedral location and it's labyrinth layout which is off-putting to many players and to my buddy also, who finished the game with me. Character creation tool is a double-edged sword, in my opinion. Like, it's very solid if you wanna create a woman character or an anime boy, but since it's not my cup of tea, customisation is just alright. Even here, on the Steam Store page, description says "Choose from various weapons such as bayonets, axes, spears, and more." And I've gotta say, I've seen only ONE spear in my complete 100% playthrough (aside from DLCs, haven't played them yet), the polearms in this game are halberds, poleaxes and bardiches. And I enjoy playing with one, so that's unfortunate. While I mentioned a cool boss fights in the beginning of the review, there's also a downside to it. After you beat certain bosses, they become a regular mobs in later locations which diminishes the uniqueness of said boss fights. Speaking of fights, the person who balanced the winter hedgehogs in snowy location... I don't know how you can sleep soundly at night after all that. The amount of times me and my mate got absolutely rolled while trying to clear the depth map is astonishing. The endings also disappointed me.
Yes, I get that souls-like games are supposed to be grimdark, but Code Vein is more story-driven in this regard, you have actual companions with you on a journey that talks and convey their feelings, and you don't need to read every item's description in order to unravel the plot. So what's the reason behind bittersweet endings? That made me a bit sad in the end.
Overall it's definitely worth the money spent, especially considering how many hours I've clocked, and I'll certainly be back to replay the game with all DLCs someday.
go refund CODE VEIN 2 and get this one instead
