https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmAo6bX8AWo A neat and fun little platforming game where you play as a fast as fucc boi, teeny, green-cloaked thief. You go through sets of levels or them individually and beat them as fast as possible, hence the speedrunning aspect. There are two elements to this, with the overall time of completion or time of completion and collecting all the gems within the levels. Along with this, the speedrunning accounts for the the fastest time to complete the sets of levels or the individual levels, depending on how you choose to play it. It does have cool looking pixel graphics with some nice kind of retro and arcadey music. The levels themselves are fun to play with them being designed well. With obstacles from shooting bolts, floating spikes, rushing enemies, bats holding keys that are required to be taken in order to open to exit to the level etc. There are a few sets of stages with a number of levels within. It is currently in early access, though more frequent updates seems to be coming with more levels added along with a level editor. So this game does have quite some replayability with the kind of game it is. There is also a death counter, so that is another element. Trying the beat them with as few deaths as possible. If your friends have the game, you also see their times so that is another challenge than can be faced. Overall it is a little gem and am keen to see how the game develops over the early access period and more content is added. A cool game that you can jump into from time to time as well.

I had never properly spent time with this game, until seeing the developer had pushed massive updates in 2023. I decided to check it out, and was immediately blown away! The design of Cloak and Dasher is incredibly tight. Every facet has been crafted with intention and love to create the best damn Infiltaking experience possible. It really does deserve to stand among the best in the genre, and is well worth your time!
This game is super fun. I wanted to try it out and couldn't stop! The mechanics are really fun and the level progression is a work of art. Very rewarding, very fun, especially for the price I would highly recommend.

Quite fun, lets you shmove pretty fast, has nice little details such as the music cleanly transitioning into a more intense theme for hardmode. This'll be pretty hype on full release!
Solid 2d platformer. Simple mechanics but map design make it really interesting. You will have a really hard time getting all platinum time though. Game also have some interesting level challenge to make them more interesting to play.
Cloak and Dasher is one of the best platformers I've played. The controls are very precise and well-crafted. The physics are good and work super well for a game meant for speedrunning. The speedrun rewards feel extremely well-picked on most levels demanding super precise inputs from the player. The artwork in the game is amazing, adding to the game's atmosphere. This game is the definition of a hidden gem. Anyone who likes platformers should try this game, especially if you like speedrunning or precision platformers.
