A Meat-Like/Hedge-Like Mashup! Dr. Proventriculus is snatching up the Chickabirbs! Help Panic blast through over 50 stages of topsy-turvy, spike-laced, slime-drenched, buzzsaw-filled deathtraps to rescue them! And remember, there are no rings...
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 15 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gotta go carefully.
Panic Porcupine is exactly what it says it is--smallish, hard levels, with Sonic-like gameplay, and it does all this very well. The Sonic-like-ness isn't exactly 1-to-1, but it's close enough (tip: rebind the roll button to your down-direction!) and if you're the sort of person who just loves those kinds of physics, this is a fun way to push them to some extremes. It's interesting how cranking the difficulty to 11 can make something that is so mechanically similar end up feeling so different. Anyway, it's a good little game, it is exactly what it looks like it is. I recommend it.

Quick Score: 5/5 Note: At first glance a shameless sonic clone. At second glance, a very good sonic clone. No real complaints, game is good. Decently challenging. Would have been cool if every level also had speedrun medals/goals to go for.

Beat mini stages by rescuing chickabirbs, proceed and defeat the massive bosses. Relax to play. Quick respawn. Mini-video >> https://twitter.com/hhfcurator/status/1603688048860221445
A review copy was provided by the developer.
🔶 Panic Porcupine is Sonic X Super Meat Boy, a fast-paced 2d platform, and expect to die a lot … 🔶
Graphics (7 / 10) :
Pretty nice graphics 6 different world, from forest, to a circus or a construction site, many different atmospheres … https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3128022976
Gameplay (7 / 10) :
Gameplay are pretty the same as a classic sonic 2d game, with movement, jump and roll on a descent for getting speed, with a good precision in the input, but you will need of that because the game is hard, no life, no rings, one hit = you die, and many spike and saws for killing you; without any checkpoints for helping you, so only recommended for die and retry lovers . Each world have 10 levels, from classic level to go to point A to point B, to exploration levels when you have to found all birds to save in a levels. Each world finish by a boss, that you need to perfect bet it each time, taking damage is not allowed ... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3128034395 Lack of checkpoint or a easy mode for most common players …
Price (6.5 / 10) :
Game cost 7 euros, and take around 3-6+ hours for main complexion (depending of your skill), a good price for all 60 levels of the game, but you will need skills (or patience) for unlocking them.
Story/Music/Optimization (6.5 / 10) :
A simple story, for explaining why you have being chosen for this hardcore challenge, and give you a little extra, the “infinite lives” powerup, and yes, you will need of it … https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3128038794 The music are ok, one music for each world, but pretty repetitive songs. No problem of optimization during gameplay, the game is fluid and don't freeze (played on i5 / 2 Go VRAM / 8 Go RAM)
Final Note (6.8 / 10) :
🔶 Sonic X Super Meat Boy, a nicely done 2d platform with a really hard difficulty, full recommended for die and retry lovers, but not for everyone …. 🔶 💚💚💚 : - 6 different world, each of them has his own unique atmosphere* - Great gameplay, different minor gameplay change (new obstacle, new mechanic to use) - Optional additional objectives for the 100%, for the completionist, or the masochist … ❌❌❌ : - Really hard platform, one hit = you die, and no checkpoints, first world is easy and a sort of tutorial, last worlds are really unfair, the game is not for everyone … - Lack of bonus to unlock (additional skins / artwork …)
Follow IndieGems for more reviews like this one. Level design extremamente criativo e divertido, sempre te surpreendendo ao exigir algo inesperado do jogador.
Game is cool, but the UI is the clunkiest I've seen in any game I have ever played. Please fix.
try hiring a level designer at some point, cause this is pure aids
