Great and challenging platformer that captures that same feeling of “just one more attempt” from games like Celeste. The unique mechanic of hp and size isn’t just a gimmick but is used throughout the game All being tied up with a fitting soundtrack. 10/10!
Without a doubt one of the best and most fun platformers I've ever played. Well worth it. I'm looking forward to playing a lot more of this game and honing my skills. And I also lowkey hope they drop the music on spotify lmao, absolute banger 10/10 would recommend!
Just played Alkali, a most pleasant experience. I’m mostly used to platform games but this precision platformer did work nice for me. The idea of running a figure made of an alkali metal is cool. Later on when I get more into the game I´m looking forward doing my own courses. I´m giving Alkali my best recommendations.
Great game, fun touch with the mass/gravity thingy. Looking forward to do all the levels!
I grew up playing platformers, so I'm always looking for interesting ones to play, and this one checks all the boxes. It looks good, the level design is well executed, the shrinking mechanic is quite funny, and there seems to be a decent amount of content and ways to challenge yourself. Level editor is a nice addition too, if the community gets into it. Game is also very stable so far, I see nothing strange going on, this seems to have been very thoroughly tested. Highly recommended for any platform games fan.
Fun but challenging game. Like the mechanic of growing and shrinking.
Quick Score: 3/5 Notes: The gameplay itself is a solid albeit basic platformer, and there is a fair amount of content, but that is about it. The visuals are pretty bad, and the level design ranges from middle of the road to mildly annoying. The core mechanic of the game is hardly ever utilized or actually matters, that being the weight/health/size thing. As a result this also makes the gems or "collectibles" scattered around the levels mostly irrelevant except in rare cases. The game also has a scoring mechanic that serves essentially no purpose because there are no achievements for it and there are no score goals or leaderboards connected to it. If the game ever decided to introduce either IL score goals or a deathless type challenge, that would remedy the issue of the core mechanic and gems currently serving almost no real purpose. It would also massively increase replayability, I would strongly encourage the devs to do so. Overall though, in its current state, the game is just okay. I wouldn't put this anywhere near the top of your wishlist. but if you can catch it on a big sale or happen to find it in your library, its worth a play.
Det var så bra musik men det var lite svårt jag tyckte att det var,90 av 100 jag är ganska imponerad.
Thanks Sleipner Games, very cool! My girlfriend has already forbidden herself from playing more because the game is too addictive! (Noob but still :) I'm also noob but it's fun anyway.
Roligt spel och jag gillar karaktären man är men det är lite svårt men med lite träning så går det säkert bra.
