Classic Sport Driving

Bonjour, ( Pas bcp de temps de jeu ok mais ... on reconnait assez vite un bon jeu -contôles, fluidité, etc -) Contrairement aux commentaires négatifs que j'ai pu lire, je tient à féliciter le dev car en une course j'ai retrouvé des sensations qu'on ne retrouve plus dans les jeux récents. Et qu'est ce que c'est bon d'avoir l'impression de se retrouver sur une borne d'arcade ou sur sa vieille SEGA ( j'avais un jeu similaire ) ! Dès les premières secondes la maniabilité, la vitesse, le fait qu'on puisse passer les vitesses, les décors m'ont conquis ! Je suis fan de vitesse et de belles voitures et franchement (maintenant il est à 5 euros ) pour 20 euros ça vaut le coup. Bon côté voiture y'en à qu'une mais c'est pas déconnant et elle à une allure de FastBack que j'adore ! J'ai pas eu de pb de nausée a cause de la map qui "tourne" ... C'est ta tête qui tourne non ? Pour les amateurs de courses et d'arcade c'est un coup de maître ! Merci beaucoup parce que pour 5 euros je vais prendre beaucoup de fun. On devrait voir des jeux comme celui ci plus souvent :).

This is a pretty cool game but it's a bit too difficult for me, which is rare when it comes to racing games. It requires absolute perfection to get anything above a one star rating on the tracks. That brings me to another issue I have; it's not really a racing game. It's nothing but time trials and you never race against any opponents (though there is traffic). Instead it's against a checkpoint timer and stars that show you how close you are to meeting the time goals of the track you're on. I would much rather be racing against AI opponents than a clock, and it seems the goals you're racing against don't have to deal with the traffic like you do. If it had to deal with the traffic I imagine it would feel more fair and I might actually be a bit better at it. lol All that said it looks great and it's fun to play. At the price I still recommend it simply for the fun of driving. The track generator is also a cool feature, and the first time you drive on a created track you can just enjoy the trip without having to worry about a timer or rating. I would give it a 7/10.

Old school competitive arcade racing for retro junkies :) Oncoming traffic can get annoying when you are aiming for your best record but it is what it is. Great music too!

Very nice little game! The driving is both relaxing and quite demanding, especially on the pro tracks. The aesthetic is simple and beautiful. The game just delivers on what it promises, and it runs nice on the Deck with limited TDP. The negative reviews seems to come from a time where the game was priced $15 and had some big issues, and I get them, that was a steep pricing. But in it's current state and at $5 (or even less during sales), I can assure you it's a really nice little game!

I have been watching this game closely already during the development as it was giving me the retro feel and memories back to DOS and/or gameboy era, where I enjoyed this classic arcade racing a lot. With this in mind CSD is giving me exactly what I wanted, a nice memory in polished racing in very attractive surroundings! Especially the cliff tracks are the ones I enjoy the most! One more thing I need to mention, the community around is quite small but very active in weekly racing events and this is really great way how to keep an interest on, especially if you like compare your times with others as much as I like to do!

As a big fan of Crazy Cars and Lotus the Ultimate Challenge, I can already say that this game revisits these classics in a very entertaining way.

Very simple arcade racing game, but very challenging! If you're not into racers it's probably not for you, but if you are... I thought I would play this game for an hour and then move on, but one thing kept me around: the ghost system. When you are racing, the ghost of another player is shown in front of you. If you pass them, it changes and shows a different player's ghost data-- someone juuuuust ahead of you. If you fall back too far, it changes and shows a slower player who is now juuust ahead of you. Trying to pass the ghost is one of the most addicting mechanics in any racing game. Once you complete a course, you can also see your own ghost. But the ghost visual is so simple it doesn't look crowded or cluttered with 2, you simply see their position and a trail where they drove. Also helps you strategize because you can see how they went around turns. So yes it's a very simple game, but if you have any competitive streak, you've got a good reason to do just a liiiitle better on this course! After finishing campaign I keep coming back for the weekly challenges. Pop in, see how I stacked up last week, run a few races, then go about my week. Pop in again next week. Very fun, and there's no grinding / leveling up required. It's pure skill!
