Star Seeker in: the Secret of the Sorcerous Standoff

A short, funny little solve-it adventure about wizards using spells in interesting ways. Great sprite art and the dev took the time to write custom dialogue for EVERY piece of evidence everywhere you could use it. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Gameplay is really simple - look at the questions, look at the evidence, and match the right piece of evidence to answer each question. Every piece of evidence has unique dialogue for every question, which is very appreciated and makes it feel like a real conversation between the characters even when you get it wrong. There are no generic "you can't use that here" type of answers! Despite its simplicity, there is a strong "mind palace" framework here for storing the evidence and ruling out red herrings. I never really needed to use this but I love where it is going and this game proved the concept. Very much looking forward to the next episode. I would buy another case in this format every month for the rest of my life. I paid $5 and got 90 minutes of fun, and even felt smart once or twice during that time. To me that is a great deal as I love thoughtful clue matching type detective gameplay.

Concept of quite original detectiving point'n'click, proven to be pretty cool. At least in this locked room murder mystery. Mix of crazy comedy, magic and bulletproof investigative logic works surprisingly well. Showing the devs are not only deft artists, but also more than competent storytellers and puzzlemakers. Give us more, please!

An absolute gem! Highly recommend picking it up. Just under 2 hours to beat with a fantastic story and dialog.

The only bad thing about this game is there isn't more of it. Please, more more thing, so I can throw money at it.

A genuinely great detective game that incorporates a unique setting not often seen in games like this.

De interacción limitada pero suficiente, "Star Seeker" es un juego detectivesco muy particular donde tu personaje se encarga de hacer el peritaje "mágico" en escenas del crimen. Me gustó mucho la comedia inocente que lleva y el estilo de juego relajado. Cada error que se comete tiene un desglose que se explica de forma muy graciosa. Espero en un futuro ver secuelas de éste juego.

Honestly a fun little game, definitely worth the money, can easily clear it in under an hour if you know what youre doing and dont walk off to do things like Ive had to. Only major challenge was the 1,000,000 points achievement, just bc its only gotten at a very specific point and I was searching with the wrong hint for a while. Id LOVE more of this just longer, would also be nice if the demo was part of the game as its basically a prologue. Just make it skipable and its no issue.

Every part is good, but my favorite is the unique responses for each piece of evidence. They really keep things moving by pointing you in the correct direction, recognizing when you are thinking too far ahead, and giving you some good jokes. 🐐
