For 2€ I feel like it was worth my time. I just finished the game and it has good ideas I really like being able to chose politics which I think is something not as present in other games like this. The city builder part is lacking as there is not much variety but from what I understand a third game is gonna come out to fix those issues. And space, I like the idea but the implementation in the game I don’t get the point, except maybe getting money without thinking but good policies are way more effiecient. I had a good moment overhall.
Citystate is a solid city builder game. It's not immediately replayable, but I think I'll definitely be able to come back to it and complete all of the colonization content and maybe make a second city in regions mode, except this time with the experience of having already made a 200k+ pop city. The 7 hours I got out of it to start were great. I ended up creating a profitable and prosperous city that had the occasional five seconds of rioting. I played over 100 years of that city and on paper everything was great. Security, education, and healthcare were maxed, gdp per capita was fair, and the freedom index and civil rights index were in the 70s. Traffic was even smooth with the monorail system taken full advantage of. My approval rating was in the 30s, so for some reason I'd regularly get these brief riots. Other than that, everything worked fine and made sense. I'm going to play Citystate II before coming back to this one. 7/10 I'd recommend this one.
Pricey, unhandy, very simplistic, and you can only build monorail which also isn't any good... if it'd cost around 5 bucks, perhaps it'd be worth it.
me when city builder
Five minutes into playing. "Take a loan now or the game ends!" Ten second click timer. That is as far as I have got each time I play.
good
Way too shallow/simplistic looking. Lets see if 2 is any better
This game has a big money & a sandbox mod that gives you unlimited money.
I tried to make Communism work, failed every time. 10/10 realism
I liked it very much. The game has nice retro futurist graphics
