Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Chrono Trigger is an absolute masterpiece. The story is incredible, the time travel mechanics are brilliant, and the characters feel alive. Multiple endings, branching paths, and gameplay that still feels fresh decades later — it’s easy to see why it’s considered one of the greatest games of all time. The soundtrack is pure magic. Every track is memorable, from the peaceful Millennial Fair theme to the intense boss battles. Yasunori Mitsuda absolutely nailed it — the music carries so much emotion and still gives me chills. Honestly, this is a must-play for any RPG fan. Even after all these years, it’s still in a league of its own. 10/10, one of the greatest games ever made.
Uno de los mejores RPG de la época dorada de la Super Nintendo
Never was able to get into turn based RPGs for a while and figured that this might be a good reintroduction to the genre—I was right. Rich story, amazingly developed and complex characters, and most importantly, very fun and rewarding gameplay. SE really hit the mark with this one. Perhaps one of my favorite things about this game is that it doesn’t require intense grinding. Boss battles are challenging but intuitive—I leave every encounter having actually learned something. Near the end of my first play-through as of writing this (Time Egg) and it definitely won’t be my last. This game about time certainly respects yours.
Great classic game.
Great nostalgic old school RPG!
love this game and cross
I'm normally a PlayStation gamer, but I love JRPGs and heard this game was on sale. It is absolutely fantastic, and I say that after 100% the Final Fantasy VI pixel remaster last week. This is truly one of the best games ever made, and is well worth the money. Truly the apex of the 32-bit era!
