This game is purposely designed to be as tedious as possible. I thought creating thread was ridiculous until I tried out the building system. It's so needlessly complicated convoluted and painful it made me truly hate this game. I love survival crafting base building games, but I hate this one. I hate it.
This games is not bad. It tries to fetch some things from Minecraft, some things from 7 Days to Die, but it feels somewhat unfinished. For example, it has caves, which are big roles in the ground were you can find minerals but if you are looking for stones, it's much faster to mine the big stones on the surface than wasting a lot of time mining in the mines. The same goes for Iron. And the caves look just like a role in the ground. The building system wants you to do things by your hand what is nice in the first times, but very boring after a while. For example, to make threads in a Spinning wheel, you need to click to make it work, click to remove the thread, click to make it work again, simulating the hands. It's nice in the first time, but if you need to make 280 threads it's a pain in the ass. The enemies are clumsy, what is fine to me since I want more a surviving experience than the fight. But if you expect intelligence from the enemies, not good. But, at the same time, there are nice things. For example, the world is nice and compelling. The biomes are interesting and look for POIs is funny. Having multiple islands is nice and give a sense of discovering. Overall, I think the game is nice but unpolished, maybe somewhat unfinished.

I usually love games like this, but this one just didn't capture my interest.
I bought and played this game in late 2020.. There were tigers and random animals running around on a badly textured terrain. I thought it was a troll game. Feels like 1-2 years ago :D Gave it a try now after seeing the devlogs through all those years and its so much better compared to that. There are still small issues and things that could be better tho I dont know if the development is ongoing. As mentioned there are things that could be added but not bad overall.
best build dynamics in the industry.
This is the first time I've caught a game in early release that I really enjoyed. I'm actually really excited to follow the updates. When my first cow got pregnant I nearly cried lol
Are you looking for a fun survival game? Then move along there's nothing for you here. Are you looking for a sandbox where you can build with very limited blocks, while also having to worry about eating and making food? Then this game is for you! Imagine Minecraft, no scratch that .. imagine 1/10th of minecraft, but using world engine of 7 days to die, add to that frustration of invisible stone that makes flattening land a nightmare. you are starting to understand this game..
wow broke the first tool they gave me and then spent 25 minutes looking for sticks to make another one and literally they don't spawn naturally i read the little journal they give you at the start which says "on the forest floor or from dead bushes" didnt see a single one of either anywhere, something as basic as a stick shouldn't take that long to find
Honestly this is one of those games I bought years ago and barely played. Its safe to say that the development of this game is amazing, and man is it so much more than it was years ago. Everything from the realistic ways of crafting down to the sound design, this game is it. Imagine Minecraft but realistic that is rising world to a tea. Anyone who likes crafting survival games will surly fall in love with this one.
