Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
An imaginative, ambitious, completely insane sequel to one of the most beloved games of all time. Because of how much it diverges from the original, it's become something of a love it or hate it experience, with many decrying it as fan fiction, or even sacrilege. I love it. I love the characters -- even many of the useless, extraneous weirdos. I love the setting and the gorgeous pre-rendered backgrounds, which might be the best ever produced. I love the wild story, with all its myriad themes, convoluted plot twists and madhatter scenarios. It's just a radical -- if you'll forgive the pun -- fearless work of art made by a collection of creatives at the height of their power. They truly don't make 'em like this anymore.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Para mim um dos TOP 5 RPG que Joguei! Muito bom.
love it
This is definitely one of the JRPGs of all time
The much-maligned sequel to Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross had wild ideas and took some big swings that ultimately didn't land for many people. After the groundbreaking sensation of Chrono Trigger, it's easy to see why, and it's impossible to talk about Chrono Cross without discussing its predecessor - Chrono Trigger is a carefully curated, lovingly crafted story about a group of young adults that suddenly find themselves thrust into a time-traveling adventure to protect the past and save the future. Almost instantly, you fall in love with this cast of characters who are slowly introduced to you as the story unfolds. Combat is simple with just enough of a twist (the combo system) to keep you engaged. Chrono Cross is not that. The story is jarring, characters are easy to miss and/or taken away so it's tough to build attachments to them (and there are so many of them!), combat is much more complex and takes time to click, and PS1 graphics can't hold up to the pixellated perfection of late SNES games (though late PS1 graphics are truly impressive considering where things started!) And there are some who take umbrage with the connections to Chrono Trigger (though that part never bothered me - see below.) But all these mechanics/systems are actually pretty interesting and work well in the context of the game presented. I actually think that the choice to explore alternate histories and parallel worlds was BRILLIANT sequel material that touched on the themes of Trigger while exploring things a completely new way (and this is why the Trigger tie-ins never bothered me; it's effortless to believe the entire timeline is an off-branch "What If?" scenario.) All-in-all, Chrono Cross is actually a brilliant game that's ultimately held back by its association to its powerhouse predecessor. It's worth revisiting, and after a rocky start, it looks like this remaster is finally playable.
Crashing all the time.
sure wish this game worked :(
