If you like chickens and metroidvanias this is your game ! nice mix between an auto-run and a metroidvania. At first the game feels kind of a easy, but the difficulty ramps up really nice (without getting too extreme). It can be kind of relaxing to explore huge maps with auto-run. pros - Responsive controls - Not too much backtrack - cute pixel art - Music is fire! - Great for playing with an arcade stick Cons - not being able to change direction at will can be annoying sometimes

What if Sonic was a Metroidvania? I never thought about it, but it’s a cool concept. The game is entertaining, with nice pixel art and a fun protagonist. Definitely worth giving it a chance!

I would say this game does have potential, but I would argue that mixing up Metroidvania and Runner was not a very great choice. The game does seem solid, but I just prefer a Metroidvania that I can take my time with, and I don't really like how the controls are based on always running. And the game doesn't really feel like it's well designed around that concept. So just for in case you want to try out the game, no one's stopping you, but I would say that the game is too flawed even for me to enjoy. Mostly because it doesn't really seem to work how it should. And also, I didn't even get to one singular boss fight, and you can tell by my playtime that I didn't exactly, you know, finish the game. So well anyways, I'm just saying the game was not as good as I would like it to be.

An experimental metroidvania where you can't stop moving forward. It is extremely indie so the artstyle and a bit of gameplay jank may not be for everyone, but it is a rarely seen unique take on a metroidvania. It takes some getting used to because most of your platforming knowledge does not directly apply (unless you're used to speedrunning), so if you pick it up I do recommend powering through the first area even if it feels weird or downright bad at first. I really did find myself enjoying it a lot more as time went on, even if the jank never really went away. It's far from a great indie classic, but it is a fun and interesting experimental title

Runervania? I've put in enough hours to say I haven't played something like this in a long time. Innovation is very hard to come by these days, and Gallo Pinto Games has achieved it in 2025, showing us something we haven't seen before. Runervania! A very entertaining game that's difficult but not impossible. And the more you run with the chicken, the more you realize how the map is like a racetrack! Anyway, good game, good story. I hope to see another Runervania from Gallo Pinto Games!

Definitely a new concept for me. I went in expecting a traditional metroidvania but found something fresh and different. it is taking me a little bit to adapt to the game mechanics but that is what makes it cool and challenging. Seems like there is a ton to explore and I like the early helpers I have found so far ( I am looking at you Cat!). Will keep on exploring the game and will update the review once I am deeper into the game, cant wait for more upgrades to come!

Un juego muy único, el hecho de no poder detenerte te obliga a pensar mejor tu ruta antes de avanzar. Si te gustan los juegos de plataformas donde debes calcular bien tus saltos encontraras un muy buen reto.

El juego está muy bueno, empezando porque tiene un gameplay frenético en donde el protagonista no puede parar de correr. La única forma de esquivar los obstáculos es saltando o golpeándolos... Este juego me recuerda mucho al famoso "Super Meat Boy”. El gameplay me parece muy entretenido y realmente divertido. En ciertos momentos me llegué a preguntar " ¿cómo puedo agarrar esa moneda de 500?". Morí varias veces intentando conseguir una de esas, pero realmente me divertí. En el apartado artístico me parece fantástico. Soy una persona que le gusta mucho el pixel art, realmente me gustó cómo hizo los modelos de las zonas y enemigos. Realmente me gustó mucho cómo usa los colores y sombras para dar ese toque a laboratorio destruido. Sobre la historia, no me he dado el placer de poder jugar más tiempo. Realmente es un juego interesante; las personas deberían darle una oportunidad. Es un juego muy interesante que realmente es divertido. 9/10
