About
Chaos Front is the latest game of the Chaos Galaxy series, which has been deeply influenced by Super Robot War, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Advance War, and other similar games.
The program, art, and design are all completed by one developer alone.
Please note: A bad ending will be triggered on 30/12/C.E.29 in the game. Please upgrade your mercenary group to star 9 before this date to begin the final battle and obtain the true endings.

Form your mercenary corps, move around the map of Centersea Sector, choose missions and join the war between the powers. Your choices will change the fate of people and the ending of the Centersea War.

Partners, enemies, friends ...... There are more than 100 important characters in the game, all with their own stories, identity talents and combat skills, such as commanders, staff officers, merchants, pirates, scientists ...... and even psychics, robots and aliens!

Battleships, submarines, mecha, artillery, fighters, titans ...... There are 70 available units in the game, all with different weapons and abilities.

Units can use a wide range of behaviors such as stealth, space mines, spreading fog, seizing, stealing, ramming, shelling, combating, shields, defensive force fields, and more. We can research the game system to create a powerful army with a variety of different play styles.

We can receive many missions with different story plots at the Mission Centers. It is also possible to participate in battles initiated by the big factions. When we become an ally of a faction, we can even make proposals to the faction to guide its strategic actions.

The Solaris Union, the first galaxy regime in human history, was destroyed due to corruption and tyranny during the Great Rebellion. After its fall, the galaxy was divided among three great powers. Unable to defeat each other, eventually, they agreed to a ceasefire and established the Interstellar Consortium to manage thousands of independent planets.
Unfortunately, the Interstellar Consortium soon became a tool for the three powers to control and exploit the galaxy. Interstellar navigation was restricted, and planets were subjected to economic exploitation.
In the 26th year of the Consortium Calendar, a revolution broke out on the planet Massilia in the Centersea Sector. The Consortium quickly decided to send fleets from the three powers to suppress the revolutionary planets. However, the Consortium Army was weakened due to the defection of the Black Flag, and the front line became a deadlock.
The great powers had to allow the Consortium Army to recruit mercenaries to supplement their forces in the war zone. The Revolutionary Army and the Black Flag also began recruiting mercenaries.
Militia, pirates, nobles, and technicians from all over the galaxy rushed to Centersea to join the war. Mercenary groups quickly became a main force in the Centersea warfare.
Under the temptation of wealth and honor, beneath the banner of revolution and freedom, and stirred by hegemony and conspiracy, the Galaxy was falling into a chaotic era...

Love the game and the concept. I decided to try the previous game Chaos galaxy 2. Like the animations for the fights. Definitely needs a couple tooltips, there are a couple mechanics I overlooked my first go around. Good job for a solo developer.

The idea of being a space mercenary with mechas in a turnbased rpg sounds very fun but the execution is just terrible and nothing close to what the game trailer imply. In short, the game fail to implement everything it implied in the trailer. The gameplay First of all the difficulty jumps from easy, cannot fail, to you will probably have to restart the game after just 2 or 3 battles. Every mission after the first two are very hard and requires lots of experience with these kind of game to even win. Even then each steps feels like you need to do them in near optimal way to advance. The progression feels slow and the units you can aquire from diffirent factions are all about the same, just diffirent sprites. The worst part is the inability to turn off the hidden timer, you get 3.2 year to beat the game. Considering a month isn't very long and would be only enough to do a few action, it would be equal to roughly 40 turns of actions you can take. The freedom of moving around the map feels pointless because the "missions" are all fixed and never expires. The only missions that are not fixed are the ones that are available when two faction fights, but you can only do one for each battles although they are suppose to be a campaign like events. Unit variation is basically "capital" ship, frigates, support frigates, "submarines", artillery, aircraft fighter and light mechas. For each class you have like two version, the basic version and the more advanced version. In each you have a few variation but all is almost identical to each other, in stats, damage output and tactical role. The dev should consider giving the player the option to choose victory condition to make the gameplay feels less constrained, as it is now there's no real difference between this game and any other linear squad turnbased games, except for the miniscule numbers of units type and variation. The story and music I don't really care much about the story or the music as both are very much up to the players taste.
别看我,买就对了
bit of a positive to outweigh the negative, earlier than i would normally post but: great combat, best art so far, and just can feel the sharpening of all the systems developed over the run of these games. support cool ♥♥♥♥.
Short version: It's pretty good. First let's get that topic out of the way: Yes, runs last for a limited amount of time (3 ingame years). If you do indefinitely long runs in similar games, give this one a pass (or use a mod or save editing to bypass the limit). However, from my experience so far a player who just goes around doing missions and battles as they come up should be able to complete the game with time to spare. Gameplay As you might have discerned from the store info and devlogs, Chaos Front has a smaller scale than Chaos Galaxy 1/2; you're travelling around with your adventuring party rather than running a Total War-style faction. This has implications for the tactical layer as well: the game is focused on small craft, with ships serving primarily as carriers and mobile artillery. You recruit a Fire Emblem-esque cast; assign them to your mechs, fighters and ships (usually in squads of up to 3, although larger units operate solo); and fight your opponents on the familiar square grid. There's a decent but not huge roster of progressively stronger war machines and abilities to help you beat the bad guys. The overworld is rather rudimentary; you go around picking up jobs on planets and joining the monthly faction battles when they come up. Story So far, it's about what you'd expect from the previous games. The various characters you recruit in your travels have their own little stories, as do the competing merc companies you'll work with and against. Unfortunately people basically stop having stories once you recruit them. The overarching war also has its own plot (feeding into the multiple endings), though most of it comes all at once near the end of a run. Other stuff The localization works well, with neither the broken English nor the weirdly worded sentences you see in some other Chinese games. There's a number of typos that'll probably get fixed shortly. People who liked the CG1 full-screen combat animations will be happy, those of us who were content with the CG2 on-map animations not so much. Soundtracks are familiar from CG1/2, so if you liked those you'll be fine here too.
LIke their previous games, this is a fun but difficult classic koei-style strategy game. It's very much like an Uncharted Waters or Officer ROTK game in space, and it's pretty fun to navigate the mechanics around the factions and officer recruitment. The game can be punishing of mistakes, especially early on, but it moves at a fast enough speed that it's not too bad about just letting you recover from your mistakes or restart the campaign. You only lose money from failure and can't go into debt, so while failing can put you into a bad spot, it's rarely permanent. There's a lot of comments about the time limit, but it's honestly very hard for the time limit to even come up. The game doesn't have randomly generated endless missions and the script pushes the sector war pretty effectively, so to actually hit the time limit you have to spend an extreme amount of time doing nothing even before the recent patch to extend it.
It's fun 😊
作为一个二代玩了260小时的老玩家,这一代我玩了不到10小时就玩不下去了。这种佣兵模式不停做任务升级的玩法事实证明完全没有攻城略地的战略类玩法吸引力大。估计这代评价不会太高。。
