The game play will have you sweating your boots of with fun items cool monster and settings this game will have you looking at every turn and round. Great monsters, great game play, and great fun!! 10/10 for me
Cant progress forward from the first shop when game starts. Cant buy anything and cant ready and go into battle. Broken game
+Smooth gameplay with animation speed options up to 10x +Player choice +Actual tutorial (albeit bit confusing on when to click, when to drag etc) -Feels random in a bad way; the set you are against is something you just have to fight once and it might be something you simply cannot overcome with your current build -> feels lame; like hitting a stonewall = Neutral review, but since I would not recommend such game to myself, I won't do it to you either.
First time playing an auto-battler. Charming artwork and snappy battle phases makes it really easy to sit down with, great for something light and quick.
A broke Dad of a gamer said "No you can't buy Champions Chalice son. We have Super Auto Pets at home" I can't see how anyone can recommend this game at $10 when Super Auto Pets is free. I'm fine with games using other for inspiration but this is literally Super Auto Pets with two lanes, a pocket and artifacts. It has more SAP features than it does it's own. That makes this one a hard pass and a quick refund for me boyz.
Champion's Chalice is a fantasy roguelike auto battler developed and published by Kairos Games LLC. Drawing inspiration from strategic team-building games while incorporating roguelite progression systems, it delivers an experience centered on experimentation, adaptation, and the pursuit of increasingly powerful combinations. Rather than relying on fast reflexes or direct action combat, the game challenges players to think carefully about party composition, resource management, and long-term planning as they venture through a series of randomized encounters in search of treasure and victory. The foundation of the gameplay revolves around assembling a team of unique units and guiding them through a constantly changing adventure. Battles play out automatically, but success depends heavily on decisions made before combat begins. Players recruit warriors, discover equipment, and unlock synergies that can dramatically alter the effectiveness of their party. Every run presents a new set of possibilities, encouraging experimentation with different strategies instead of relying on a single dominant approach. This variety helps ensure that repeated playthroughs remain engaging and rewarding. One of the game's most interesting features is its roster of champions, each possessing special abilities that can be activated at crucial moments. These powers are not unlimited, making their use an important strategic consideration. Deciding whether to save an ability for a future challenge or spend it immediately to survive a dangerous battle adds an extra layer of depth to the decision-making process. This mechanic helps distinguish Champion's Chalice from more passive auto battlers by giving players meaningful opportunities to influence the outcome of encounters. The roguelike structure works well because it creates a constant sense of uncertainty. New units, items, upgrades, and challenges appear throughout each run, forcing players to adapt to what the game offers rather than simply following a predetermined plan. Some runs may focus on maximizing offensive power, while others encourage defensive tactics or unique synergy-based builds. The satisfaction comes from discovering combinations that transform an average team into a powerful force capable of overcoming increasingly difficult obstacles. Visually, the game adopts a colorful fantasy presentation that complements its accessible design philosophy. Character models and environments are easy to read during combat, ensuring that important information remains clear even as battles become more chaotic. The art style may not be cutting-edge, but it possesses enough charm and personality to support the game's adventurous atmosphere. The straightforward interface also contributes to a smooth experience by allowing players to focus on strategy rather than navigating complicated menus. Champion's Chalice is particularly effective at balancing accessibility with strategic depth. Newcomers can quickly grasp the basic mechanics of recruiting units and watching automated battles unfold, while experienced players can spend considerable time exploring advanced synergies and optimizing team builds. The learning curve feels approachable without sacrificing meaningful tactical decisions, making the game appealing to both casual players and dedicated fans of the genre. The game is not without limitations. Compared to larger auto battlers and roguelikes, its overall scope is relatively modest. Some players may eventually wish for a broader selection of units, additional game modes, or deeper progression systems to extend longevity. Nevertheless, the core gameplay loop remains satisfying thanks to the strong emphasis on experimentation and build diversity. The streamlined nature of the experience can even be viewed as a strength for players seeking a focused and easily approachable strategy game. Overall, Champion's Chalice succeeds by delivering a polished blend of roguelike progression and auto battler strategy. Its combination of randomized runs, meaningful champion abilities, creative team-building opportunities, and replayable structure creates an enjoyable experience that rewards both planning and adaptability. While it may not redefine the genre, it provides enough depth and variety to keep strategy enthusiasts engaged for many hours. For players who enjoy discovering powerful synergies and overcoming challenges through smart decision-making rather than fast reactions, Champion's Chalice offers a compelling and entertaining adventure.
