Nice.
It is hard to find a tactical superhero game that meshes strategy with heroic teamwork. Capes is all of that an more. However, the story is not great - in fact it is so bland it is humorous. Yet what it lacks in story, the gameplay dynamic makes up for it. Heroes can help each other by making their powers better, leading to synergistic team-ups that make the battles truly gratifying when you complete them. Some of the missions were difficult and took me a couple of replays to achieve - sometimes the hero mix I chose did not work. The game is challenging and yet, enjoyable. I liked it and would happily support any future expansions with a purchase. Essentially, if you like superhero power sets and enjoy strategy games, I recommend it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

What this game is: A fun, puzzle-like take on tactics with fun characters, powers, and synergies. Always wanted to try out a super-hero trpg and this nails it to a T. Think along the the lines of titles like Hard West or Showgunners instead of XCOM. Very linear thus far as I've just recruited my third hero so definitely still in the nascent team building phase of the game. What this game is not: 1) XCOM 1 or 2: Tone down the scope big time; again think more along the lines of Showgunners as a curated, trpg experience with some side missions and replayability of missions thanks to bonus objectives. These bonus objectives DO NOT have to be completed all in one go; its encouraged to come back when you get more heroes to update strategies. You play in one city, much like XCOM: Chimera Squad if you want to draw a comparison at all. Which leads to point 2. 2) A Fully customizable sandbox. You will not be able to design your own hero. There is limited apparel options/skins available. Yes it's disappointing; no it does not effect the quality of the game, or the discoverability of combos and strategies for your heroes.
