It's pretty fun game - something between Xcom and Midnight Suns. Game is entertaining and if you want to go for 100% it's quite a puzzle game (figuring out hero combos and order in which to do certain actions to ace all mission side objectives) but if you go for casual play it's fun too. Story wise it's ok, nothing amazing, nothing terrible. Graphics could do with few more triangles but it's by no way ugly - just mid. All in all it's a nice game for about 20 hours or more if you try to do everything it provides.
this game sucks. immediatly stuck in a hand holding boring tutorial fight by numbers BS. no character creation.
I love turn-based games like this so I've stayed patient with it. The game could actually be enjoyable but it turns into a level-up grind and that just sucks all of the joy out of the game.
При всей моей любви к данному жанру игр, в это играть невозможно, к сожалению
It is a challenging game, you need to accept this fact and gradually you will stop noticing all of its flaws. It has a good story and characters you would eventually sympathize. Extremely questionable game design solution was to give skill points for doing some extra achievements in missions. Some of them are really unfair, imho. It is very hard to recommend this game as it may cause tons of frustration but it is still worth trying if you are into super heroes and tactical turn-based games.
Overall- 8.5/10 Time played-58.3 hours 100% completion- All achievements, not to difficult to get. I really enjoyed this game!! The tactical base combat system is very refreshing and adds a new layer to the battle system we all love from X-com/style games. Every hero is unique and synergize well with each other using team-up abilities, making combat feel new and experimentative each mission. I'm hoping for some kind of DLC or sequel/prequel because this game was great IMO.
It is hard to find a tactical superhero game that meshes strategy with heroic teamwork. Capes is all of that an more. However, the story is not great - in fact it is so bland it is humorous. Yet what it lacks in story, the gameplay dynamic makes up for it. Heroes can help each other by making their powers better, leading to synergistic team-ups that make the battles truly gratifying when you complete them. Some of the missions were difficult and took me a couple of replays to achieve - sometimes the hero mix I chose did not work. The game is challenging and yet, enjoyable. I liked it and would happily support any future expansions with a purchase. Essentially, if you like superhero power sets and enjoy strategy games, I recommend it.
A great game that has a lot of replayability built in. I love that chance is a very minimal factor, your actions just do a thing and it does that same thing every time. So encounters can feel like puzzles that you're trying to solve. No blaming the dice on this one. Main critiques are that it doesn't explain some concepts the best, like "Heavy" trait on enemies, how different enemy weapons work, the more niche elements. There's also some UI quirks on controller, going between two branches of an ability's upgrades can feel weird. Also would love to see a counter of how many SP I've already spent on a Hero, since I like to balance my roster in power.
