About
Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront features the Eastern Front and its “Great Patriotic War” fought between the USSR and Germany. This RTS will take you from June 1941 until the end of the war in May 1945.
Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront offers a choice of game modes including Singleplayer, dynamic campaign, PvE, PvP and co-op.
With its instantly switchable views, there’s something for every type of player. First person gunner views for all vehicles, third person views for vehicles and infantry, classic top-down direct control of a single unit or classic RTS top-down; they are all available and instantly switchable.
Conquest (dynamic campaign) mode offers singleplayer and co-op modes to play with your friends. Both modes allow you to compose your own army group, research new units and strategically advance in different paths to dominate the battlefield. The dynamic campaign can range from short to unlimited campaign lengths.
PvP/PvE offers a wide variety of maps from 1v1 to 4v4, and the use of “Doctrines”. These allow you to choose your own special units that fit your individual playstyle. The stage of the war (Early/Mid/Late) can be selected, to experience the evolution of equipment and vehicles as the conflict progressed.
Single player campaigns take place at historical locations, painstakingly recreated and immersive as hell.

TLDR: Great game heart breaking bugs Booty sauce support. Expensive a** DLC Wait for steeeeep sale before buying like think 60% or more Great game but the bugs are just heart breaking. Crimson Ridge DLC mission is just F**cked. Trigger events hard lock the mission. Thats after iv secured the Fuel trucks POW's Supplies recovered light tanks and dug into the river bank placed 300 land mines 50 trip mines all without losing my baby faced troopers the game wont let you investigate the Radio Tower or Placing explosives on bridge. Iv verified my game files moved to C drive. Restarted the mission the whole campaign my PC and my life. Tried in game tips like killing the engineer or medics because they bugged out. Reached out to support got generic "We are aware of this issue thank you for you report" response. Iv put over 10 hours on this one mission and its just the most recent one to drive me from the game.
fun if you hate your life 10 out of 10 would recommend
Compared to CoH, I enjoy this game's greater degree of realism and simulation. The Conquest mode has a ton of replayability and the mod community pushes that even further, and they're continuing to improve the game with changes. The engine does feel a bit dated and has some QoL issues, like menus not scrolling, unit attributes not being listed, and timer/scoring systems being unwieldy, but overall this game keeps me coming back for more "rogue-like"-esque conquest playthroughs.
