Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

A different take on the Borderlands formula with several new features, most notably moon gravity. Just like other Borderlands games it has many fun missions and weapons, the only downside is the limited amount of content compared to other games in the franchise.

certainly my favorite game out of the borderlands franchise, all the vault hunters are fun to play, lasers were a neat addition, the movement is amazing. It's just a shame that 2K Australia got shut down before any more DLCs could come out, a LOT of missed potential in my opinion.

As far as Borderlands games go this one is pretty lame. The guns are as good as ever but that's hampered by low gravity movement that makes the entire game sluggish as well as a need to maintain O2 levels. It's also not as funny or interesting as other games in the series. I can't recommend it except for die-hard Borderlands fans who love the aesthetic. Replaying 2 is a better and cheaper option and of course 3 is great, too. Maybe 4, I haven't played it but it has to be better than this.

Borderlands The Pre Sequel is a lot like the uncle you keep hearing about. You know the one. He cut off your family and lives a healthy, active and unique lifestyle, which your family keeps describing as boring or "the worst one in the family". The truth is that this is most likely overall, the most well rounded game in the series and it could have been even better than 2 if the studio was given time to finish all the DLC and content. The content that we did receive is, undoubtedly in my opinion the single best DLC in Borderlands history, the best story in the series and absolutely the best vault hunter lineup in the series and the rest dont even come close. This is really the only borderlands game ive played where I havent felt like one or two of the characters are bad. Yes, there is Wilhelm, but he isnt bad. The lineup is just so busted this time that hes the most normal out of all of them, and thats very usual for the introductory soldier class in all of the games. All of the characters are extremely fun to use and viable in the end game. And theyre all incredibly distinct and unique. The game introduces new mechanics that were quite overlooked or viewed negatively on release but now I think are viewed normally. New melee mechanics such as the slam, new weapons class such as the laser, the grinder which allows you to combine weapons and receive higher rarity weapons including legendaries, and the Zero G environment, which adds very fun and speedy movement using the oxygen kits that you find. And all of these are very fun features and they really felt fun after BL2. The DLC is the best in the series, alongside the story. The story is never anything to boast about in any of the borderlands games, but this time...magically, everything is fine. Funny jokes, funny characters with humor that isnt always screaming in your face, and the most character development in the series - all of your vault hunters have unique dialogue associated with them, and they are referred to with their names and not "VH" or "Killer". Overall, I felt quite happy with all the characters and was intrigued by them. The DLC is funny, fun to play, and very unique with the best boss fight in the series in my opinion. This is the only time that Claptrap is given semi serious character development and backstory, which i appreciate. Theres also some unique mechanics that dont add much, like oxygen and atmosphere. You can only light enemies on fire if they are in atmosphere, which you can trigger by activating an oxygen generator or going inside the building. Theres also the new Cryo element which is fun to use. Overall, I think this is a great game. The only qualm is its rather short, has only one raid boss, and the baseline bosses just arent that memorable apart from one or two. The game was unfortunately cut down before it could reach its prime, but it could have been the best. I love you pre sequel. im sorry others didnt. Men are born for games. Every child knows that play is nobler than work. And Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is a game that should be played, despite what some might say.

Purchased due to nostalgia from playing with my dad back in that day on PS3 (R.I.P the PSN store) & the steam deal and, I've come to the conclusion its my favorite BLS game, hands down.
