In my opinion Book of Korvald is one of the better NSFW games, for the mere fact that there is a traditional game here. no shade to the visual novel games that make the bulk of NSFW games, but the ability to actually interact with things like attacking, jumping, using special abilities, exploring , etc; makes the game stand out to me. The spice scenes are varied enough, but I feel like there should be a handful more than what is available, at least in terms of the enemy scenes. The story has some neat ideas that could be expanded on in DLC or Sequels. Basically Deities, super humans and beasts from many mythologies are beings from other existences and they can frequently merge with folk to give em mythological capabilities, neat stuff. The Game itself is being held to together with faith, sawdust and bubblegum. The game itself is flying apart at the seams, i've had tons of graphical glitches like getting flashbanged everytime my squid buddy spawns in a new zone or getting sucked into a wall while climbing a rope; even your inventory can bug out found out if i had more than 3 pages of items i couldn't get any new items, and so i give punching donut tech wizardry kudos for somehow getting this beast to be stable for the most part and playable. If you want an NSFW game that isn't an rpg maker or visual novel game, check out book of Korvald. I think it's worth it.
Please ignore my time in the game as I played a lot of this offline so my time is not accurate. :
Adult Compendium
Book of Korvald is one of those adult games you kind of see come out of nowhere and really shock you with how good it actually is. We are the titular Korvald as we traverse through this 2D action RPG where you fight through 9th-century Scandinavia as a scribe-turned-berserker powered by a cosmic parasite entity. Pretty interesting starting point. The art style is genuinely distinctive and it may throw some people away from it at first (it did even for me) It has this illustrated, almost stiff picture-book quality to it that looks like they were ripped out of a flip up book. As a result, the animations look a little stiff, no question, but once it clicks, it actually adds to the game's strange charm rather than detracting from it. Outside of the adult content, you have a meaty game behind it with a lot of unique weapons, magic, and more. It FEELS like an "adult" RPG (pun intended). Layer in rune magic, a talent tree, 30+ boss fights, and minigames like fishing, ale brewing, and arena combat, and there's genuinely a lot under the hood here. For the adult farers as well, there's definitely a lot here and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Fair warning though: the character designs for companions lean heavily into a very specific body type and aesthetic that won't be for everyone, so feel like its fair to mention that now. If you're curious about a game that swings hard for a specific vibe and largely connects, Book of Korvald is worth a look. On top of that, the dev is actively patching and expanding the game with free content updates, which counts for a lot. There's clear passion behind this project, and it shows.
This is my 2024 game of the year. Have you ever wanted to play as a Viking fighting the Catholics, Demons, Eldritch Monster, and Hel her self while banging thicc busty monster girls and Humans in a more western art style ARPG Metroidvania with decent combat and RPG mechanic with some Dark Humor and Great Story? Need I say More? GET IT!
would you willing add Chinese
This is no just an erotic game. This is a solid metrovania game with heavy Sword and Sorcery tones. It is a nice art style, and realy creative story. All the main characters are loveable and charming. It has a special adult kind of woman depiction from the adult side, more closer to the old Wizards and classic fantasy depictions, curvier and bushier girls. Seriously when I played the game, I thought an adult game should not be this good. A+ in the topic.
This game was a fun experience, the story, humor, music and voice work was well done and I got very invested. Even if you are not into lewd stuff, this game is definitely worth trying
This game is really well done and easily worth the purchase. There is a ton of content. The gameplay is tight. The story is interesting. I absolutely can't wait for the next game in the series!
HOL UP!! HIS WRITING IS THIS FIRE???
An interesting and very good game, the author put a lot of effort into creating it and is constantly improving and adding content, I can't wait for the sequel B)
Another perfect example of why I love indie games. It's so refreshing to play something that's clearly pretty rough around the edges, but does not shy away from just being exactly what it wants to be. There is great power in simply foregoing what is "acceptable" or "marketable" and instead going whole ham on self-indulgence. You can't get that from AAA games. It's something you can only experience in the indie world. As games go, this is a cool metroidvania with elements of beat-em-up set in Norse mythology with a hint of eldritch horror. As a human infused with otherworldly powers and urges, you'll spend a lot of time fighting and f**king your way through hordes of enemies and bosses, and collecting otherworldly babes for your ever-growing tavern. There's a lot to see and do, and dozens of fun companions to unlock, so even though you can finish the game pretty quickly (my first run at a casual pace was about 10 hours), you could easily spend twice that just poking around for secrets. In terms of gameplay, the controls are a bit iffy at times (not bad, just noticeable), and I definitely got softlock-stuck at least once, but I see these more as quirks than flaws. And even then, the game's save and fast travel features make it pretty easy to get back on your feet if something does happen, so there's no harm in its occasional hiccups. I also found Normal difficulty to be pretty easy, so I'll definitely be bumping it up on my next go around! To be honest I just really love how this game took me back to the era of old-school Newgrounds games, where people made things they liked exclusively for the sheer joy of making them, without bothering to worry about how they might be perceived. The game's story leaves no room for hand-wringing, and embraces its horniness and violence without a hint of shame or reproach. It may not be what some would call High Art, but it feels genuinely committed to being itself, and that's what counts. You either jive with it or you don't, and I appreciate how uncompromising it feels in that regard. Bottom line, this is great stuff. I hope to play more from this dev in the future!
