Bob The Cube

3D-платформер с воксельной графикой, который ничем интересным не выделяется. Можно было бы сказать, что игра проходная, так, сыграть на один раз. Уровни построены по разному. Одни будете проходить с видом сзади, другие сбоку. Будут и такие, где нужно подниматься вертикально вверх. Два варианта прохождения, на 100% (нужно собрать все сферы ну уровне) или на время. Но есть серьёзная проблема, из-за которой не могу игру порекомендовать. Ужасная оптимизация. Игра часто фризит, а fps просаживается чуть-ли не до нуля. Так что, не советую с ней связываться. Геймплей ничего нового не преподносит, а оптимизация оставляет желать лучшего.

Executive Summary ;-) Horrible to play, avoid unless fixed. Commoners version: Camera view: There's no mouse look in a 3d game which should 100% have mouselook. Instead there's buttons for rotate left and rotate right. Except it doesn't even do this nicely, it swishes the camera around in the most sickening manner. You can't look up or down and the camera has an annoying tendency to look down when you need or want to look up (see screenshot no'3 above). Some objects aren't solid, you can just walk through them, this wouldn't matter except what actually happens is you get too close to some irrelevant object and then the camera wildy swings about and you have no control over this. Jumping: Triple jump in this game doesn't mean hit jump three times to jump higher, it literally means you have to jump three times in a row to jump higher :steampalmface: Anyone would think this developer had never played a 3d game before. My suspicion is that this is little more than an asset flip.

Right now I can't recommend this game. I usually like 2D/3D platformer and I'm Ok also with the childish art style. The game has 15 levels, Steam achievements (collecting 100% gems in each level + finish the levels in time), but it has also some major flaws that made me rage quit after the two first levels : [list] [*]First, no joypad support. It's not a big deal because you can still use big picture emulation or joy2key, but well... [*]For jumping higher, you have to jump 3 times in a row (you have to press jump quite precisly before each jump, long press doesn't work). I don't understand why the dev didn't implement a double-jump instead. This makes running for time in levels a total pain in the ass. [*]Jumps are totally unprecise. Because the character is a cube, this makes the jumps having some random start movements. For a game that requires precision, this is a critical issue. [*]The levels 2, which is in pseudo 2D has a major glitch that makes the player stuck in an invisible front wall when getting hit by opponents. I really hope that dev will fix these bugs, because the game has some potential. Right now it is a game made by one person, that nobody else has tested before release. 2/10

Although Bob the Cube has some stages showing originality, the awkward controls and lack of a camera mouse view make the experience more frustrating than entertaining.

一款3D的动作冒险游戏 通过跳跃到敌人头顶消灭它们，或者投掷一些箱子攻击敌人 内容中规中矩、没有太多新意，但这个视角绝对够辣鸡，完全固定，根本不让你旋转 要么看不到自己、要么看不到关键的道具、要么看不到敌人，总之就是各种不舒服

好游戏，值得推荐，就是视角有bug，有时会掉入虚坑，只能重新开始
