This game is exactly what it's advertised as. You play a bird flying through an obstacle course. All the graphics are beautiful black and white hand drawings, and tranquil music plays. Although the game seems easy at first, it gets a little more challenging once you get a bit into it. As far as low priced indie games go, Bird Game is one of Steam's hidden gems, and it's amazing this game isn't more popular.
I was given this game as a gift, and I can see the charm of this game. Obviously the art style and music are superb. This game, however, is not relaxing, especially during the boss fights. Honestly I think this game would've benefited from not having boss fights and focusing on being the relaxing game it offers itself as. The boss fights kind of just made me frustrated, as the "strategy" is simply to memorize the attacks and figure out what to do before you die to the same pattern again. I don't think I'm willing to try hard mode...

Good idea, poor execution. Art style is fine, but camera doesn't show where are you going if you're close to the screen edge The game goes from a simple evasion game with plenty of checkpoints to a every mistake kills difficulty. Basically this game is totally scripted with boss fights being more of the same evasion game, but no checkpoints in between. It would probably be possible to beat the game in few minutes launching a recorded key sequence. The difficulty comes from the mechanics that can kill you for a single mistake and lack of knowledge of the "script" - sometimes the bird is too slow to react in time to the new situation if you don't know about it beforehand which combined with the fact that you can get stunlocked in place leads to those deaths for a single mistake. Obstacles should be easier to avoid, but random, so that the player would need to adapt in stead of memorizing the levels/boss attack patterns and timings
