The Lord is on my side
This visually appealing artwork reminded me of a digitized scan of real clay (something like what Hylics has). I guess I really am a fan of screentone. But here it’s presented in a black-and-white palette; only the characters’ eyes and a few distinct patterns stood out from the overall picture with their bright colors. When exploring the map, the characters seem so minimalist; as soon as the battle begins, you can fully appreciate all the beauty on a larger screen. It’s a fairly short but fun game: I liked the humor. Special shout-out to the soundtrack. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out how to proceed, but you can always peek at the guide. Don’t let that stop you from exploring every nook and cranny of strangers’ homes. The platforming felt harder to me than I expected, but that’s a hurdle I’ve cleared. The Anarchist is probably my favorite character. At least because they move upside down.
