Wasn’t sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to find a slick little time waster. They undersell it in the description. Turns out this is a bee RPG with all the usual suspects, a story, collecting resources, exploration, side quests, a trophy room to populate, and all supported by various mini games. Filled with info about bees and flowers, and a bit on some animals, and a library of knowledge with 3D images to play with. Gonna be great for kiddos. I had no bugs or other issues so far. The game plays well and flight feels smooth. Mouse control is great and intuitive flight control. I would have quit without it. My only complaint is that we cannot rebind controls – the Q/E flight is backwards to my muscle memory. Maybe to mimic flight controls, but it continually frustrated me. The voice acting is comically terrible - like a couple little kids trying to do every character and accent, but it fits the theme. The art is nicely done and the graphics are good. This was a bored at 2 AM when I can’t sleep and it’s new and on sale purchase. Not mad at it for the $10 I paid. LOL. Although, I would not have even tried it at $25 retail and think that is too much, especially since the game shows me 50% complete in less than 2 hours. Certainly not my usual fare by any stretch, but it's a good game I can recommend at the right price.
A Sweet and Relaxing Flight
https://youtu.be/fRId55dJvkI Bee Simulator: The Hive is a charming game that lets you see the world from a bee’s perspective. Flying through colorful environments, collecting pollen, and racing through air currents feels both relaxing and fun. It’s lighthearted, easy to play, and great for all ages. The new hive-building mode adds an extra layer of creativity, letting you gather resources and design your own buzzing home. On top of that, local co-op is a nice touch—perfect for sharing the experience with friends or family. With its soothing soundtrack and gentle gameplay, this is a game that combines fun with a touch of education. If you’re looking for something cozy, cheerful, and a little different, Bee Simulator: The Hive is a lovely choice. 🐝
That is very cool game. I enjoyed it all and had fun and chill playing it. Thanks a lot!
For 24,5€ you get exact same game as the previous one. Almost zero new content. This should have been DLC for 5 - 8€. Play standard Bee Simulator and dont waste time and money on this.
Bee Simulator: The Hive is an expanded edition of Bee Simulator (2019), now bundled with a big upgrade called The Hive. You still buzz through a Central Park-inspired map, gather pollen, race jet streams, and fend off wasps—but now you can also build and customize your own beehive colony, fly through wind tunnels, use “bee vision” to spot resources, tweak weather in free flight, and even play new coop maps solo. Pros ✔ Bee-ing a bee has never been so fun – Building the hive, decorating it, and seeing your colony grow actually feels meaningful, not just busywork. ✔ Loads of variety in activities – From pollen hunting to mini-games to hive building, there’s always something different going on. ✔ Overflowing with puns – The writing leans into bee humor hard, and I loved that constant buzz of cheeky wordplay. Cons ❌ Gets kinda repetitive – After a while, flying around, collecting pollen, building feels more like a routine than an adventure. ❌ Moving between zones drags sometimes – Without wind tunnels unlocked, flying from one area to another can feel drawn-out. ❌ Graphical upgrades felt small – The environments are still charming, but the visuals don’t feel like they’ve had a major facelift since the original. Conclusion If you never played the original, The Hive is absolutely worth diving into—it’s bursting with little moments that just put a smile on your face. If you did play it, this feels more like a solid buffet DLC than a full re-release—useful addons but not earth-shattering. Still, it’s undeniable how joyful it is to watch your hive grow, race through jetstreams, and just bee in the world. It’s that kind of sweet, low-pressure game that’s great when you just wanna relax and float around. 7/10 Fuzz Butt Bumbles Sweet, light, and worth a taste — even if it doesn’t quite fill the whole hive.
Fantastic game. Will definitely play more. Hour pass in no time, unfortunately have no more time at moment :) P.S. After some time with like 10+ h in ... i will probably finish to play this game unfortunatley, i wanted 100% it but i get bugged in one save and stacked so i cant move one, and new another one have stack in middle of quest without possability to do anything. And unfortunatley i`m not ready to start game from scratch third time :(
