better than playing other lame and dumb games with my lame and dumb friends who don't want to play powerwash with me
Achievements locked behind paid dlc, and a studio that went indie just to sell their soul to a massive corpo with the Star Wars DLC. DLC having achievements was an issue with the first game, and it's a bigger issue now that you're charging more money for the DLC that you're locking 100% behind. (Why is the Star Wars DLC the first to be $10?) The achievements ARE a satisfying part of the play experience and shouldn't be held behind a wall, and I say that as someone who did buy all of the packs for the first game. I expected a more unique direction with this one after the story of the first game and the wallace and gromit DLC, but none of it really feels as impactful. The cleaning is still good obviously but everything surrounding the cleaning feels half baked, especially the homebase / furniture system just feels like something that was thrown in. If you want more of the first game and don't care about completion, it's fine now, especially after the patches for the keybinds and other issues being fixed like the furniture system. But picking between 1 and 2, I'm not sure why you'd go with 2 outside of the menus just functioning far better. I still have to finish my 100% of base game so there's a slim chance this gets updated, but the DLC rollout being how it's been has very much so disappointed me, and I wanted to be loud about that.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Aspects
Multiplayer - Relaxing - Sandbox - Funny Rating: 5/10 Replay value: Yes
Thoughts
1.) If you were a fan of the first game and simply want more maps to run through, I'd say go for it. 2.) If you're new to Powerwash, I'd just buy the first game. 3.) If you're expecting anything new or enticing in relation to their first game, unfortunately there's little to nothing. I adored the first game, and hearing there was a second game coming out had me excited and interested. I quickly came to the conclusion that this game was a cash grab, and quite honestly lazily made. UI sucked, navigating through the menu got annoying quickly. Achievements were buggy, I had to go back and complete parts of or the entirety of certain maps because the achievement didn't pop up when it should have. Useless equipment, they allow you to choose between a series of "Prime Vista" washers or "Urban X" washers (imo there was little to no noticeable difference until you got the trident nozzle for prime vista which is OP just like in the first game – and it just made the UI obnoxious with having to scroll down so much). Secondly, they had a new surface washer that was completely useless. I did not use it once throughout the whole game. Customization was awful, they did not put any effort into making cool outfits – instead, we just got different colored gradients and 1 or 2 random designs. Additionally, the only customization you could do for your washers were for the most expensive ones that you weren't even using for maybe 70% of the game, and they just ended up being color swaps?? Why even have sections to customize the however many other washers if you never unlock a skin for them? Home Base was a completely useless addition to the game. They basically just added a Sim's aspect for an area that you literally never need to go to, as you can play the entire game through the pop-up UI. Story felt short/new equipment was almost never used, I went through the entire career mode, caldera chronicles (which was literally 1 map LMAO), and Adventure time DLC in 30 hours, all the while hardly ever using the scissor lift and bosun chair. I'm probably missing a few things, but those felt like the biggest issues. The only things that were actually new about the game that carried any significance were visual indicators at the end of the level to show you where you need to finish - and the maps. If you're gonna make a second game and market it to be some new and enticing experience (to a decently large fanbase), you cannot just copy paste and add useless additions to call it a successful sequel. At the end of the day, I enjoyed the new maps and appreciate the opportunity to play and 100% the game, but I felt extremely let down by the idea of a "second game". Powerwash is Powerwash, it doesn't need a second game. The first game could've just had a major update instead. ---------------***1 month later update***--------------- The Star Wars DLC recently came out, and overall it was pretty enjoyable. One of the achievements was a little odd - the very first map requires you to clean a robot so that it begins walking around (you need it to move to a spot where you can stand on it and shoot something at the same time), but it stops walking at a point so if you didn't get the achievement before that, you have to restart the map. Additionally, they made this DLC $9.99 vs. the standard $6.99-7.99 (not a huge deal, but it's not like there was more content to constitute a few extra dollars.) Other than those two aspects, it was a good DLC. They chose iconic parts of the movies to clean, added iconic sound effects, and you actually get to utilize the scissor lift + bosun chair. As for what I previously mentioned in my review, nothing really changed. They added 1 more map to Caldera Chronicles which was a bowling alley (relatively short, but looked cool + had interactive bowling pin resets), and they actually ended up adding skins for the other powerwashers rather than just the most expensive ones - however - they're color swaps. Better yet, some are not even color swaps. One of the skins they added is quite literally the same thing, but they changed the grip of the powerwasher to a different color and that was it. Disappointing, but oh well. I'll update again in tandem with their updates.
i enjoy both the original power wash simulator and this sequel a lot! i'm currently working on going through and 100% completing a bunch of the games in my library, and i'm working on this game right now before going back and doing the first game. i have no issues with the game itself; i enjoy the graphics and the concept and the controls work well. my only issue is this: please stop making paid DLCs required for a player to 100% complete the game achievements. i don't like star wars or adventure time, so i don't want to waste money buying those dlc, but in order to get all achievements, i will need to buy those dlcs. it's frustrating because that's literally the only issue i have with the entire game. i get that it's a ploy to get people to spend more money, but i would rather have paid more for the base game and not have to buy those two dlcs to get all achievements then have to buy those dlcs for two franchises that i do not enjoy whatsoever.
Thanks, DLC not available in my country, so I got them from a torrent.
It could be just as good as the first if it werent for the constant hand holding through the game. It's already an easy and relaxing concept, but I get so annoyed and frustrated with all the tips and helpers it completely defeats the point of a 'relaxing' game. The auto flashing of unwashed objects towards the end of each mission is ridiculous - its a great option to have - if only it were on OPTION. Then every time I return to base theres a tip/info pop up that takes up so much of the left of my screen and stays there. Nothing I do will get rid of it. How much do you think I need to be reminded of how to place furniture??? I enjoyed the first game so much more.
