There's a lot to take from this game artistic-wise and some aspects of the structure of the game are well done considering it's made in RPG Maker Besides that, there's nothing really truly surprising in the writing of the characters and in general. If i have to put what i feel from this game as brief as possible it would be : I can see what the creator believes and what his politics are just from playing this more than what he tries to tell you with the story At the risk of invalidating my opinion for some deranged individuals, the whole "MC is trans" is pretty dumb, the characters are written like straight out of some comic made by a guy in tumblr, I didn't mind the "MC is nameless" at the first moment because I thought that it was a way to take attention from the MC and emphasize the story, as in "it doesn't matter who the MC is, it's not important" kind of thing but no, a lot of the story revolves about it, and frankly, It's uninteresting and lacking inspiration, especially the way the dialogues are written I ended up seeing the rest of the game on youtube, give it a try if you want, it has a pretty low price but don't expect too much. At least for me, it's not worth the hype in social media and consequently, not worth the money
A very evocative game about being queer in a Kafkaesque world of rising fascism. The writing is great, characters really seem like people you might meet in real life. Stunningly beautiful art. Top-notch soundtrack that actually had me listening to it instead of just putting on my own playlist in the background. My only complaint is that you can't fast-forward all the dialog. 10 out of 10 "Oida"s

Philosophical and f@#$ed me up. 9/10 due to available choices that can rarely negatively affect the experience of the 1st playthrough of a route, but becomes obvious during subsequent playtthroughs. This game's target audience is primarily psychological horror fans and trans (specifically nonbinary & agender) people. If you are not queer, then this game may not have the same impact on you in some aspects, but it's still worth playing. It's a genuinely amazing work of art that uses the fact that it's a video game to help tell its stories, but take the content warnings seriously if you are not in a good mental state An Outcry has made me rethink how I view characters in games and forced me to come to terms with how afraid I am of existence. The world and characters feel real, the music is great, and there are some heart wrenching moments. This game consistently makes me cry and has made me reconsider suicide again. I only played through the game 3 times as I completed both endings for the 'Ignore' route after I got the 'Shelter' ending. The idea of playing the game after the 'Remorse' ending feels as if I'm violating Aster's autonomy. The thing that stuck with me the most was the 'Enabler' ending. Ultimately, the Enabler ending is about how we perceive & treat others, characters in fiction, and the consequences of inaction & letting fear overcome you. One quote that stuck with me long after playing this game is "There is no room for insipidity. You need to f@%#ing act." in other words, accepting the hostile world around you and the horrible things that happen as they are will only lead to pain. If you do not stand up, if you keep your head down for your own sake; people will get hurt, you will never live, and it will be your fault. That's just my interpretation of it, though.
I don't know if I can express how good this game is without reapeating what others have already said. But if you like RPG narrative games birds doing evil bird ♥♥♥♥ and playing as a non-binary character struggling with their identiy and dealing with the horrible place they live in, then this game is for you!
10/10 gave me a viscerally uncomfortable knot in my stomach as someone from & in a german-speaking country
I played the demo of this in the Haunted PS1 demos and immediately bought the full game afterwards. The story is wonderfully written and the characters feel like real people. There is nothing quite like the whiplash this game gives you of going from, deep introspective moment of what its like to be trans/nonbinary and the internal struggles of that, to "OH S**T BIRD", repeat over and over until game is finished. And its F***ing great, I loved every moment of this game, 10/10 would get my s*** rocked by a bird again
Beautiful RPGMaker game. Well, i think i need a smoke
Visually distinct game with a message that is more relevant than ever! Highly recommended!
I picked this game up on a whim after seeing someone play the Bleaksword Demo. and. God i was not prepared for what i was going to find. Having so far played one route and reached one Ending it was a truly Amazing experience that often hits. So perfectly uncomfortably close to home. The Writing is incredibly spot on as someone that has my own experiences with dysphoria, really horrifies you with its engagement with creeping fascism. Its a genuinely incredible experience.
this is a pretty cool game i remember the night after i played this almost perfectly first played it as part of the haunted ps1 demo disc 2021 collection
