For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

battle system is too slow for me
Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a delightful return to the golden age of classic Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs), executed with a distinct Western charm and modern sensibilities. Based on the popular comic book series by Joe Madureira, the game wins players over with its stunning visual style, deep combat system, and engaging dungeon exploration. Key Highlights: - Stunning Visual Style and Atmosphere. The game looks like a comic book brought to life. Detailed characters, vibrant locations, and gorgeous animations (including spectacular "Burst" attacks) create an unparalleled atmosphere. Even the loading screens are works of art. - Deep and Tactically Rich Combat System. The turn-based battles are the heart of the game. The "Overdrive" system adds tactical depth, allowing you to generate bonus mana with basic attacks and use it for more powerful skills without depleting your main resource. The variety of enemies and their abilities demands constant strategic adjustments and party composition experimentation. - Engaging Dungeon Exploration. Dungeons are procedurally generated, ensuring high replayability. They are filled with traps, puzzles, secrets, and formidable bosses, rather than just being arenas for random encounters. - Diverse Characters. Each available party member has unique skills, perks, and a specific role in combat, allowing players to customize their team to fit their playstyle. - Rich Supplementary Content. Beyond the main story, the game offers numerous side quests, a robust crafting system, fishing, and other activities that reward curious players and help them dive deeper into the game's world. - Excellent Soundtrack and Sound Design. The musical score sets the perfect mood, and the sound effects—such as the impact of attacks in combat—feel substantial and satisfying. Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a must-play for all fans of classic RPGs. It successfully combines nostalgic elements with modern mechanics, offering an exciting and beautiful adventure that can keep you hooked for many hours.
Fantastic game Lovely comic book artstyle with interesting characters, enemies and a fun spin on a turn based party strategy game. Picking fast and slow abilities to line up with the best effects, really incentivises taking each action seriously. Each character also gets two skill trees, so you can easily have your companion go from damage to tank very easily. My hours here are low, as I ended up getting it on another platform and finishing it there.
I found out about this game 4 years after i played the ruined king game I can tell that this game has A LOT of shared assets one might say the ruined king is the 1.0 and this was the beta test i wish they had the polished this game cause it was their own creation at this point i believe that riot forge forced them to actually bug fix and properly ship a title All and all game is barely good but it is worth a while
Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a confident and stylish homage to classic turn-based RPGs, reimagined through the bold artistic lens of its comic book origins. Developed by Airship Syndicate, the studio founded by Joe Madureira—creator of the original Battle Chasers comics—the game embraces its heritage with vibrant visuals, sharply defined characters, and a world that feels both familiar and freshly energized. What begins as a straightforward tale of adventurers stranded on a mysterious island quickly grows into a deeper journey through arcane ruins, corrupted forces, and pockets of ancient technology. The narrative is accessible rather than elaborate, but it works well as a backdrop to the game’s exploration and combat, carried forward by its colorful cast and striking presentation. One of the game’s most immediate strengths is its visual identity. Every screen radiates the influence of comic-book illustration, from richly detailed environments to expressive character portraits and smoothly animated combat sequences. The chunky outlines, saturated colors, and dramatic lighting evoke a sense of high fantasy filtered through 1990s graphic sensibilities—a blend that feels nostalgic without seeming dated. The soundtrack complements the art perfectly, weaving adventurous melodies with darker ambient tracks as you descend into dangerous dungeons. Together, these elements create an immersive world that rewards simple wandering as much as direct progression. Battle Chasers: Nightwar splits its structure between an overworld marked by predefined paths and a collection of handcrafted-but-randomized dungeons. The overworld offers a mix of exploration, lore discoveries, hidden caches, and side quests that make the island feel more alive than many JRPG-inspired settings. Dungeons, meanwhile, are the game’s true playground. Their layouts shift with each visit, mixing enemy encounters with traps, puzzles, interactive objects, and treasure rooms. This keeps the experience from becoming too predictable, especially when combined with the selectable difficulty levels that allow you to tailor each run’s challenge and rewards. Combat is where Nightwar most clearly proves its dedication to classic JRPG roots while pushing forward with thoughtful refinements. The turn-based system is clean and readable, but it gains depth from mechanics like the Overcharge system—where certain basic attacks generate temporary mana that fuels powerful abilities. This encourages a rhythm of resource planning and tactical forethought rather than simply spamming the strongest skills. Each party member fills a distinct role, and mixing them creates significant variety. Whether you focus on damage mitigation, burst attacks, healing, or sustained pressure, there’s room to sculpt strategies that feel personal and adaptive. Leveling up unlocks perks and branching talent choices, adding another layer of long-term tuning to the combat flow. Crafting and gear progression reinforce the game’s dungeon-crawler identity. Materials gathered from enemies or found in the world can be used to forge stronger weapons and armor, and crafted gear often outperforms store-bought items. This system encourages exploration and makes every dungeon delve feel rewarding, even if the treasure at the end isn’t the only goal. The variety of gear and enchantments also helps smooth out the mid-game spike in difficulty by offering ways to tailor your loadout to specific threats. Still, Battle Chasers: Nightwar isn’t immune to a few genre pitfalls. As the campaign progresses, the difficulty curve begins to push players toward grinding—whether to strengthen party members or to gather crafting materials necessary for better equipment. This is not unusual for turn-based RPGs, but depending on your tolerance for repetition, it may slow the pacing more than intended. The narrative, while serviceable, doesn’t fully capitalize on the rich personalities of its cast, leaving some character arcs feeling lighter than fans of the comics might hope. Technical issues, particularly on certain platforms like the Switch, can also introduce sluggish menus or long load times that interrupt the otherwise smooth flow. Despite those missteps, Battle Chasers: Nightwar delivers a deeply enjoyable RPG experience grounded in its respect for genre tradition and elevated by its standout art direction and strong mechanical core. It captures the spirit of classic console RPGs without feeling like a mere imitation, offering turn-based combat that is intuitive yet strategically layered, exploration that rewards curiosity, and dungeons that encourage repeated dives. For players who long for a modern game with old-school heart—and for fans of stylized fantasy worlds—Nightwar stands as one of the more compelling entries in the genre’s recent history. Rating: 8/10
