This game is a freakin ride! An absolutely blast of a game and getting into Nightmare mode had my heart PUMPING! Definitely worth a play!

This is a pretty cute little game with a short playtime, even if going for achievements. The visuals and concept are cute, though the sound design is pretty minimal. Overall, it's pretty easy, unless you're going for the perfect run achievement. That can get fairly annoying. Even nightmare mode is easy in comparison. For the price I'd say it's worth it. The mechanics are simple but it's not long enough to wear out it's welcome.

Babette is not happy. (Your basically getting what you see in the pics. It's NOT a Tamagotchi though. It's a "keep pressing buttons or else" game. It's great at that though.)

Very simple game, but very good. Deceptively hard. I gave up on nightmare mode. But still a great game. And the creepy-cute atmosphere is very well done.

I really wish steam had a neutral review. If you really like horror games you'll probably like it for the price point. The visuals are great and the mini games are fun at first, but they get tedious real fast. The food one is extra annoying for me since I play on a huge monitor and the game wont let me change my window size. I still think it's worth trying since it's only 4 dollars. Please add an option to turn off the loud game over sound. It just hurts my ears and it's not scary.

I'm giving this one a tentatively positive rating, even though the gameplay isn't my cup of tea personally, because I do think this is an interesting concept (plus it's only a short game and doesn't cost much, so for the price I can't really complain). Babette is a horror game with the premise that you find a bizarre, Tamagotchi-like toy... that is haunted by a beast. Each night, you have to fill up a meter whilst performing a small number of minigames. It has atmosphere and I do like the concept, but I do find the actual gameplay does get repetitive quickly, which leads to it becoming not particularly scary after a short while. Furthermore, as the nights progress I did find them to be a bit tedious as it takes longer for the meter to fill up, and even one slight mistake (such as not knowing which room Babette is in and switching to it quickly enough) can get you a game over. An awesome little game. I always love spooky tamagotchi style games and this one is awesome. It has great atmosphere and the graphics are spooky and fun. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing and I would buy the ost in a heart beat. Check it out it's great.

I went in hoping to be equal parts spooked and steeped in nostalgia, and this game delivered! The mini games were simple and familiar enough get the hang of quickly, which made the ever-increasing speed and stakes feel like a fun challenge. I say "familiar" in that they reminded me of the Tamagotchi mini-games I spent hours playing as a kid, but with a twist or two to make them feel engaging to me as an adult, which is exactly what I was looking for. The game also did a great job building tension and maintaining a distinct atmosphere, the music and sound effects had me totally engrossed as the protagonist of this experience. I admit I'm on the jumpy side, but the Game Over sequence had me yelping more than a few times! I'm not the most technically skilled gamer, and I was able to play through the whole game (including nightmare mode, holy moly was that hard) in about 3 hours - enough to feel like the game had meat to it, but not enough to get bored or too frustrated. Overall a fun little romp, if you're looking for classic Tamagotchi action with menacing consequences I'd recommend it.
