About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

creative CRPG
if you get it on sale, its good. but its not worth it till a sale. There's enough for a playthrough but there's no replayability.
Found the game to be alright. 6/10 Combat was skyrim-like. The world felt rather linear and empty. Story was Ok with a lot of gray area decisions. You learn a lot about alternatives once you go through quests. meaning they have alternative or better options. The game rewards you for taking your time. I took my time on this game more than other games. I did side quests and roamed a bit. I found the side quests impactful and interesting. as a matter of fact, I found the side quests just as entertaining as the main quests. Npcs were ok had stories to be told. however, I struggled to find a connection to them in game and out of the game. I'd like for them to expand on NPC relationships in the next installment. Decisions felt impactful throughout the story, even in some of the side quests. The art was very colorful, which is good and different from what i'm used to. I am used to rather gloomy dark games. "review" was all over the place I just wrote what came to mind. Overall, Above average game.
This game is really underrated. I don't really have any complaints. It's not some masterpiece that will change whole genre, but it's just solid, fun RPG game. Cool first person engaging combat, very good graphics, there are choices that matters and can change the outcome of the story. Actually a strong point of this game is also lack of ubisoft-like question marks and pointless collectibles everywhere. I had fun, never felt bored and I can definitely recommend it in 2026 after all patches.
Fun and creative world, with so much to offer. Fun combat, although it's not perfect, it has fun skills and the companions work with you kind of like they do in Mass Effect. World and lore seems interesting. I highly recommend it as an rpg, all in all! It's not GOTY, but it's good and fun, and I enjoy it.
For CachyOS Users: PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=nodxr,no_upload_hvv %command% Game itself is good. Solid 8/10. Great Combat, Visuals, art style. It feels awesome to explore because you will always find something usefull. Story is good, Characters also but all in all forgetable. The World..well its your Playground. No Reactions to theft, people always stay at the same place - so no KCD2. RPG Elements itself..well your origin story matters sometimes.. Your decisions can have a hard impact but only once per region more or less. All in all enjoyable especially
