About
A 2D automation sandbox adventure. Build an automated factory with Mana-powered machines and farming, progress through an expansive tech tree, uncover a vast world filled with wonder and danger, upgrade yourself with ancient technologies, and defend it all from enemy invasions.
You are Otto, a magical golem who awakens to find himself abandoned and alone. Seek out your ancient masters and learn what happened to them and the world – but first, you must build…
Crafting takes time. Instead, build a automated factory composed of Mana-powered machines, farming and monster husbandry. Design sprawling production lines connecting vital resource outposts to the heart of your factory. Reshape the world to fit your needs.
Forge your own path through dangerous lands. Find new ore deposits to expand your factory, uncover valuable treasures, and interact with the denizens of the world. Each new region is a unique blend of procedural generation and hand-crafted points of interest.
Otto is forever tethered to the powerful Apotheos; however, with the right materials these bounds can be expanded. Unlock a sprawling sandbox world region by region.
Delve into a massive technology tree, discovering new structures and materials as your factory’s power expands. Use ancient technology scattered throughout the world to upgrade Otto’s mainframe.
A mysterious auto-defense system has awakened to protect the world’s resources – from you! Defeat the drones with a sword, blaster, and an auto-defense system of your own.

Awesome concept. Too buggy. Straw that broke the camels back is that splitters are completely unusable, but you NEED them for managing farming & power. Appears to be a multiplayer bug
its so addictive and its a challenge at times but mostly easy.

Great game, cant wait for 1.0!
Great game It mixes the look and feel of various other games I've played, past and present, mixing it all together nicely.
Game is adictive... materials are all over the place and some have alternate ways to get (cultivation or husbandry) but there are ways to move them all around the map if you investigate enough.. that makes the game challenging and fun to figure out how to get it done... recommended if you have enough time to lose because you will blink after managing to get iron ingots to your assambler and a few hours may be missing from your clock
Autoforge is the first side scrolling factory builder I've played, and I think it's really well made. The graphics and sound design are both extremely good, and the gameplay overall is also pretty good. Exploring is always fun, and each new chunk explored offers new resources and occasionally the much needed huge ore vein. Building your factory is also incredibly easy. This was the first factory game I played, but learning to build a factory was very intuitive and I was quickly able to build my first (very inefficient) factory. Don't worry about the game being too complex. It starts out simple and slowly introduces you to more complex mechanics. The progression feels smooth, and there is no time wasted waiting for research to happen. It's always fun to get new abilities, and the new machines unlocked are always unique and offer new ways to play the game. All that being said, the game still isn't perfect. As many people have said, the enemy waves are not perfect. They sometimes feel too easy, but also sometimes sneak up on you and destroy half of your factory without you noticing. The NPCs are also quite shallow, and usually only have a few lines of dialogue to offer. Overall, I think Autoforge is a good game for both people new to factory games and factory game veterans. At the time I'm writing this, the game is still in early access, and I can't wait to see what 0.7 has to offer.
As a factorio and terraria lover, I've really enjoyed the automation. It's still in beta, so don't expect the same full product, but the automation alone in this game has me craving more. The automation mechanics are unique (like being able to change the input range) but still familiar enough that its not jarring if you are familiar with other automation games. I've not done too much of the PvE but so far that seems to be my biggest "meh" feeling. The feedback of hitting something feels the same as getting hit to the point where I'm dead without realizing I was even getting hit. The overal combat just feels a bit generic (just spamming my auto attack). Perhaps it's just because I'm near the beginning but so far not really impressed with that aspect of the game. If you like the visuals and like automation, I certainly recommend giving it a try. I think they have a great foundation to make something special, and look forward to what they release in the future!

Fun Game so far. Nice Artstyle. Thow so far the enemys weren't even close to a thread. down't know if that changes later with higher infussed conduits and new areas.
