ATOM RPG: Post-apocalyptic indie game

It's not really a bad game but I'm grumpy about spending a couple of hours trying to save scum my way through a time sensitive quest to kill some slavers. Game mechanics are opaque and somewhat bizarre, often feeling like the Kafkaesque bureaucracy the game parodies. For example, grenades barely injure enemies, can't be thrown very far or over obstacles, and unless you have invested a ton of points in thrown weapons the grenade will just land at your feet, killing or stunning your character. Did you put a gun into your backpack, then re-equip it? Better remember to reload because it was automatically unloaded. Do you want to surprise attack some very strong but exposed enemies from cover? Too bad. By the time any of your weapons are in range the enemy will be alerted. Oh you spent a lot of points on stealth? It doesn't matter. Stealth is irrelevant. To start combat, your player character must run up and aggro the enemies, hope you survive their snipers long enough to find cover, and mainline drugs I guess? Want to try some clever tactics with a timebomb or distracting noise? Nyet! Otherwise, the writing is OK. It's wacky and feels unsanitized, which is a nice change of pace, but the quality is nothing special. Some characters are memorable, but you won't fall in love with any of them. Honestly there's an absolute crap-ton of post apocalyptic isometric RPGs and beyond the jank, there's little about this one to make it stand out.

Was looking something in the line of the two first Fallout games, but this definitely isn't it. The writing is very poor, with dialogues going on forever without them being interesting, fun or advancing the plot or game mechanics in any way. Perhaps the combat system gets fun at some point, but wasn't really tempted to keep going after slowly and clunkily fist-fighting some wasps. The character sheet was perhaps the only thing that interested me, but it got overwhelming way to soon (with lots and lots of perks/traits/whatever to choose from at level one). Anyway, I din't make it past the first town. Too much to explore would seem like a good thing--if only any of it felt thought-out or meaningful.

A very good turn-based RPG that feels like a modern take on the classic Fallout games. It has great character customization, plenty of interesting quests and a lot of freedom in how you approach the game. 汉化糟透了，大量错误。有的NPC显示是一个名字，对话里又是另一个名字，很多地方的翻译莫名其妙，还要去猜原本是什么意思。很喜欢辐射12，初玩也确实惊喜，本以为可以沉浸进去，可是完完全全被汉化泼了一盆冷水。网上之前19年的汉化补丁也要对应游戏版本，然而现在的版本选项里已经没有那些对应的版本了，想打汉化补丁就只有玩盗版。
