Kinda meh. Not great, not terrible. Gets a barely thumbs up
This is such an amazing game to chill to. The main gameplay loop is very comfortable as a sort of chill automation puzzle to mine out each asteroid within the time limit. There are lots of upgrades to get to keep you motivated and searching for new asteroids.
Enjoyed the game a bit, but kept running into bugs (like disappearing worker bots) that would totally throw me out of the mining/gameplay loop. Not worth currently even with discount. If they could fix their main issues with the core gameplay before releasing giant updates that would be great.
I came across Astronomics early on into its EA release. It has grown steadily since then and keeps getting better with each update. The game definitely scratches the exploration and mining itch and has consistently been one of my most played games. They’ve recently added liquid extraction and soon to add gas extraction as well. Light combat as well which can be turned off if you don’t want it. Very solid game, with minor EA visual bugs. For me personally there are a couple things that I feel can be balanced/optimized a bit better as it can feel a little grindy at times. I also wish that I could pin missions on to the HUD. Small things that I’m sure will be sorted out before 1.0 release. If I could make 1 gameplay suggestion to the devs that would be, when mining if you don’t clear out the rocks around minerals using the laser before using the tether to remove it from its place, I’d like to see some sort of quantity or quality penalty. I feel like it would had a level of strategy as the player wouldnt be able to let a turret destroy all the rocks if they want to get the most of highest quality item. All in all worth the purchase as it it now. Support the Devs, they deserve it!
I bought this then played it for almost 17 hours straight, take from that what you will
Fun, but needs some improvement of life things. :)
