Very good remaster of one of my favorite childhood games, hoping for the 3rd as well
The normal game up to Spooky is ok, but everything Spooky and onward is awful. There's no way they played Spooky + post-game and thought it was enjoyable or otherwise worth doing. The difficulty is completely artificial and practically encourages you to turn on fairy mode at a point. For your sanity, only play the main game.
A very good action platform game. I kill the enemies and eat all the ghosts! A very good remake too as it is the second time iplay it the first them was when it rleased for thr first time in 2000's when i was kid. Also it runs at high 1440p 60 fps on mine monster pc RYZEN 7 1700 RX 6700XT 12 GB RED DEVIL 16 GB DDR4 3200MHZCL15 MP 600 2TB WRITE:4950MB/S READ:4250MB/S DELLP2416D 24'' 2560X1440 60 HZ IPS
i loved the original version when i was a kid playing this on ps2 but tbh, i never got that far into as did alot of my games when i younger but now timejump to today ‘aka my birthday’ and after getting this for my switch 2 ‘granted it’s the switch 1 version but still’ and now here on steam. i can say it’s pretty good for a remake of a ps2/gamecube game. the music is chill and for some reason the pac himself has pulled the 2d tom and jerry movie and learned to talk here… and im all for it tbh, YES he does get annoying after you hear him go ‘YUMMY’ everytime you eat some fruit but hey the va’s pretty good so i’ll give them some slack. but to wrap the review up. if you loved the og version back then you’ll love this. this has been your reviewer with a murder drones cyn pfp. signing off. update: so i beaten the main game and it was actually kinda fun. the only level the whole main game i had to turn on easy mode was actually the fight with spooky 'or rather the normal version' and i ended up with 22 lives when the credits rolled
A good remake for a nostalgic 3d platformer. As good as I remember from my childhood, some good ideas, level design and way better than the first one. But still the shortness of this game, some mechanics are showing their age and shows that now or back then it was not a real competitor for other big 3d platformer games. At least the addition of the sonic DLC is a good novelty and should be done more for remakes! At under 20 bucks you should do it, for the content it has unfortunately I cannot recommend it at a higher price.
Oh my god is Pac-Man annoying! He repeats the same few lines over and over and over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER! Pac-Man never needed a voice to be a good character. Why give him one now? Other than that, this is a solid remake of a classic that was in most ways better than its predecessor. Likewise, this is definitely a step up from Pac-Man World RePac. It's not overly challenging, but regardless, I bought it for the nostalgia.
i loved the orignal game. man they butchered it. up to spooky the game is PLAYABLE, not good by any means, but its playable. after then its literally souless playtime padding. absolutely ruined a game that i enjoyed so much as a child
Holy crap, this was amazing, legendary upgrade from the first game
Spooky V2 was such a difficult boss, yet was balanced, he left such a great impression on me, in fact all the bosses held back no punches in Pac-Knight and Toc-Man (As well as the Sonic DLC I got), just some of them had unfair things
Pac-Man has an amazing moveset, the plot was cool, the voice acting was a little corny but definitely needed I liked the levels, the bosses, and the collectibles for each stage are way more rewarding and feel worth it They stopped copying the maze gameplay, it's no longer needed to beat the game unless you are going for 100% The only thing I would change is that I want other characters to be more important, and there were more cutscenes between levels
Faithful remake of the OG, which I adored. It also added new stuff that makes it even better.
Quality is inconsistent. Early levels are good but later levels are unforgivably bad. Some of the later levels are so bad that it poisons the rest of the game.
