Easily the worst of the entire AC series, yes even worse than Shadows. If you have a morbid curiosity, or want to play the entire series, go for it, otherwise skip this one or do a Let's Watch of it.
Definitely worth playing. I got it for free with my purchase of Odyssey and thought hell I'll play it one more time. Assassin's Creed III has always had a special place in my heart. Playing the original as a kid was so exciting. It had so make new combat moves, Connor was faster than Ezio in many ways and my 16YO heart thought of it to be the best thing ever. But now as an adult I feel like that this game has not been as strong as it's predecessor. Connor as a character is the least likeable of all and when I say all I mean even among the characters in this game. Haytham and even Lee felt like much stronger character than him. Also I may be wrong in this but the native language of Connor sounds like very poorly acted. As if the voice actor were just reciting the lines without any emotions. Another thing that I must mention is how a lot of the systems in this game felt unnecessary. In the previous three games getting better gear felt necessary. Doing side activities, earning money, getting the better armor or the crossbow made the games much more enjoyable. Not here though, I didn't hunt or sell anything. Didn't buy anything either. I visited the shop, browsed the catalogs but never felt like buying anything. I'm not sure if it's just bad design or what. Now about the remaster, it's not a great remaster, not even a good one. They've pretty much butchered the look of the game with the new whitewashed lighting system. The original to this date looks better to me. Also the QOL improvements they brought like whistling was not necessary. I don't remember using whistling throughout my entire playthrough. Also I'm not sure if there are any more QOL improvements in the remaster. Overall I enjoyed the game. Partly because of the nostalgia I have, partly because of how good the game really is maybe. But going forward I'll have fond memories of this and maybe someday I'll introduce my daughter to it.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered won’t bring up the taskbar by pressing the Windows key mid-game. It’s also plagued with numerous bugs, and its controls feel far less smooth and responsive than the Ezio Trilogy.

The game looks great and plays great with AC III having some of the best combat in the entire series unfortunately it has what I consider some of the most biased takes on historical figures in the series especially since it feels like they went out of their way to show the negatives of many of the historical figures in the game compared to AC games that came before and after it while ignoring historical facts and viewpoints to showcase the negatives and the modern day story ending is just horrible and in my opinion screwed over the storyline of the entire series to this day it hasn't recovered which is a same because it also has in my opinion some of the best modern day events Its still an amazing game to play again the combat is some of the best in the entire series and the world is genuinely fun to explore the story and characters are just lacking and feels like the writers and devs were biased in writing them The DLC the Tyranny of King Washington is just awful though and despite the base games combat being so fun it somehow feels like a slog in the DLC Also Play Liberations it is by far the most underrated AC game in the entire series
Bom jogo, combate sem muita dificuldade porém bom e altamente satisfatório, história boa e gráficos legais , não é um dos meus favoritos da franquia e tem algumas coisas que deixam a desejar como o inicio altamente demorado, porém sem dúvida é um bom jogo.

Esse foi o primeiro AC que joguei. Em 2016. Agora que joguei de novo por esses tempos falo, realmente é bom, sem level, sem farm chato, sem grind. É só chegar, explorar, fazer missões, que são, em particular legais, ou ao menos nenhuma, senão poucas chatas. O Connor como personagem é decidido e sabe o que tem que ser feito. E penso, "tá vendo? Não precisa de um mundo gigante, enorme pra ter mais 200 horas. Pessoalmente não curto muito essa nova saga RPG. O três é o meu favorito até hoje. Obrigado pela atenção, boa noite.
