Disclaimer: im trying to review games that ive played so i can remember what i liked/ didnt like and more importantly whether ive played them or not since ive been trying to clear out all the games i havent played and in turn anyone reading might find my thoughts interesting [b]Armored Core 6[/b] Never played a single armored core game, or any mech game for that matter, ive seen gameplay and ive seen mech animes and none of it ever interested me. Ive been a souls fan ever since i couldnt beat ornstein and smough at 13 yrs old, and had my recent flatmate ask whether id played armored core before, I had it on the backburner as a maybe ill like it, its fromsoftware, but its a mech game. My flatmate essentially forced me to play this game on his xbox, instantly hooked, beat the game in 3 days and started ng+, got more invested in rubicon lore than anything ive cared about in a long time. THE GOOD Its easy, in a good way, im someone that loves a challenge but its a breath of fresh air, will still most definitely provide a challenge Some of the best world building / setting / atmosphere in any game ive played, fromsoftware always know how to nail it The thing that makes this game fantastic is the lore, which ill let you find out yourself through playing and watching videos about it but man, never have i been so invested in the story of a game where ill watch a 6 hour video about it THE BAD Soundtrack, there isn't one, the only thing dragging this game down TRULY is an absolute banger OST playing while you fight coral jesus, although i do understand why there isnt with all the missile lock sounds and stuff but, yeah thats big for me True ending fight - i’m totally gonna spoil it you’ve been warned [spoiler] Love that you fight allmind, love the idea of them uploading iguazus data so he gets to kill you finally, why couldnt he just have had a few extra ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moves rather than make it a gank fight, my biggest pet peeve in these games is making a boss that is mediocre in difficulty and making it one of the hardest fights in the game entirely because of the adds [/spoiler] That one strider mission in ng++ is also pretty brutal but i feel like thats more just fromsoft being who they are Rating: 621/10

If you're looking for a mech game with good mechanics and a nice challenge this game is for you.
