About
Another Game About Automation is a casual factory creation game in which your goal is to produce numbers and deliver those that are requested.

Deliver the requested numbers to advance, unlocking new operations and improvements.

Use splitters, mergers or bridges to find the best solution in the distribution chain.

Use your imagination to expand your number factory and complete all the challenges.

Use logic gates to create circuits, such as a decimal-to-binary encoder!
Create and connect number generators with mathematical operations.
Unlock new buildings and upgrade them by spending the points earned through the numbers.
Find the best combinations to obtain the necessary numbers.
Optimise your number production chain.

The full game is lacking a finish and/or polish. The full game is no more complex or complete than the demo was.
I like it, but it gets kinda weird. The difficulty automation games face is that sometimes all you have to do is wait a little longer for the factory to work. Efficiency is only interesting when it has impact. Like updating your factorio machines to have perfect input/output helps balance other inputs/outputs as well, which steamrolls into other optimization options further down the line. In this game however, once you unlock splitting, you don't need efficiency. You take a few numbers, split them so you only have to use 1 per setup, and then copy paste the setup as many times as you need to reach the goal within seconds. Before I ever start looking into optimization of my setup the goal has already been achieved and I can delete everything to make a new one for the next goal. I was baffled when I unlocked logistics, when all I need is to just split a couple numbers, multiply them with each other, subtract another number, and it's done. Especially unlocking 10, 25, and 50 made me scratch my head. It was just too easy to do everything with multiplying, even when I'm limited to a certain amount of number generators, to really use anything else. Dividing? Percentages? Never even looked at them. What I'd like for the game is to continue needing the earlier setups, instead of deleting them. You sorta have that where you can get 200 points for doing 500 of a number you've done before, but once you reach 500 the setup is useless again and you still delete it. I'd also like it if I'm somehow motivated to use the logistics. It looks like it can be very deep and gratifying to use, but at the moment I can do the same thing with way less trouble by using basic calculus and bruteforcing it. The only reason I'd use logistics currently is if I wanna challenge myself, but there's no reason since my setup will become useless after supplying 500-1000 numbers. I really like the idea of the game, and it's fun while it lasts, but without these two additions it's just over too quickly and becomes pretty stale after a while.
On day one, its not terrible ^^. Its a calm automation game, its a bit generic but still entertaining to play through :3.
There are other similar games that do the same thing that this does, but better. 1. AGAA is janky in places. For example, undo doesn't really work. 2. Gameplay is mostly tedious. There were one or two moments where I had to pause and come up with better blueprints that were more efficient. However, I spent a lot more time pasting blueprints than I did actually solving problems. 3. The broadcaster is completely broken, even when limited to 120 items/s. The game needs to be more challenging: 1. Limit the number of operator and belt structures 2. Limit space 3. Require a certain rate of numbers rather than a count of a number 4. Fix or remove the broadcaster 5. Give me a reason to use the logic stuff other than the broadcaster 6. For that matter, give me a reason to use division and modulo more often There are some QoL improvements that could be made as well: 1. More than one save file. 2. More music. 3. Zoom out farther. Some of the things I made got quite large.

This game is a PERFECT intro to Automation games as well as a fine automation game of it's own. Not as big and fancy as FOUNDRY or Satisfactory, but it does an outstanding job of training the player which should make it very accessible to players new to the genre and yet, is a solid game on it's own. Also, the Save and Load for the tiles... PERFECTLY implemented! I hope you sell a million copies!
