Honestly, don't listen to the praise for this game. While what they say is accurate, it simply is small potatoes in the face of how terribly old this game feels. If you're not expecting an extremely old school, Unreal Tournament type of experience, you're gonna be disappointed. The combat feels absolutely terrible. Space combat is also a let-down. The big ships have an overall hull health which can't be repaired... they all usually get destroyed within a couple minutes. It has some great ideas. It's just so old-feeling and unpolished. There's a reason people don't stick around.
Absolutely horrendous balancing, you can kill in about 4 hits with a knife, attack with them at the speed of light, lag is *horrible* so you barely hit them if they try even the most basic of maneuvers, and stamina is unlimited, so you can just continuously sprint and run up behind everyone. So the knife is incredibly strong, but your other weapons feel like hitting with a wet noodle. I love high TTK games, but the TTK is completely balanced around lagging around and hitting people with your knife, for some odd reason. Extremely bizarre choice to make your combined arms game have overly powerful melee. Can't recommend this game until the devs fix this. I highly doubt they will, though, they likely have an entire discord full of sycophants yammering in their ear about how the game is perfect and changing it will lead to apocalypse, ruin, and them being kicked out of their mothers basements.
I like the concept of this game but I do not enjoy the gameplay. The space dogfighting is very difficult and confusing, and more often than not I find myself wiped out with little understanding as to how as it does not show me what killed me and immediately returned me to the respawn screen. The few times you are actually put in infantry gameplay, you need to contend with gunplay designed for schizos high on cocaine and very sweaty people. Call me what you want but this game is very hard to get into, even casually, and to enjoy and you're better off looking elsewhere.
Please please please! It's finally being revived and I'm all in for it!
This is a relic from a by gone era before battle pass, Ai slop, and even Discord.
It's lagging behind in all the basic things for a modern game. Menu's aren't very intuitive and you're not even allowed to ALT+F4 out of the game which is a hell of a choice. Would refund if I didn't buy it ages ago when it was still as bad as it is now.
this is my dream pvp game, i was hardcore into bf2142 and the parallels are uncanny. all game, no fluff. space combat is ridiculous.
planetside vibes
Decent game, not the best community.
Good ol' janky fun. Reminds me of the golden age of modding, when Unreal wasn't some financial juggernaut and simply a modding platform for creative dorks.
