Game feels very awkward and janky to play across the board, and the UI is heavily cluttered. The tutorial however is decent and describes the game pretty well. The real let-down of this game is really just how it feels, even when it runs on UE3.
Imagine Planetside 2 mixed with a bit of Halo and Battlefront 2, and you get a rough idea of what this game is. The combination potential is incredible! A few downsides currently: 1) Not a lot of players, so lobbies can sometimes feel a bit empty which leads to games not being very fast paced (maps are big); 2) There isn't a ton of polish, it definitely isn't as smooth as newer games and the graphics are more outside (more old school Halo style); 3) Not as much variety as there hopefully will be in the future. With enough support this could turn into what modern multiple games are supposed to be, and what we never got in a Battlefront 3!
it's fun, small file size which is a massive W, but dam is the balancing messed up sometimes. Particularly inn space or if your just playing against AI. There's a lot of potential.
labor of love for sure, also the bots are competent (mostly) so even playing offline isn't a negative experience
good nostalgic fun to hop in to rip a couple games at a time
Kudos for the ambition. Play it now before the community gets ADHD. A lot of old school fun to be had. Needs some streamers to raid the game to pump it up. Bots as well, so it will never truly die.
Great game, brings back memories of BF '42 where you had seamless movement between land and air, and could board huge ships, man the guns, etc.... just hope more people buy the game!
PRETTY GOOD FOR 10 YR OLD TECH!!
This game is fantastic, I was a bit worried about the player count but I should not have been. Not only is there always a couple servers that are full or close to full, there is also a wonderful offline mode. With competent AI nonetheless. This game is like if Battlefront 3 actually released but instead of being SW based, it was a more hard scifi setting. Pick it up and give it a shot! I am very glad I did!!
