Juego de culto, uno de los mejores survival horror jamás creados
Nunca va a volver a existir algo igual a todo lo que fue Amnesia. 9.3/10!
Ностальгические 9/10, сегодняшние 8/10. В целом думаю все понятно, уже классика, фрикам большое уважение!
Amnesia: the Dark Descent is easily one of the best horror games I've ever played. While I've grown to not appreciate a very linear, on-rails horror experience as much as I used to, this is easily one of if not the best linear horror games and is absolutely iconic. The stealth mechanics were terrifying, the sound design was amazing (especially the sound that plays when you're getting chased) and the game is far more than just a walking simulator, as it features good resource management with tinder boxes, well-thought-out puzzles, and monsters that always kept me on my toes. The setting of the Castle of Brennenburg is perfect for this game and features a wide variety of interesting areas that always added to the horror and mystical vibes (especially the choir). The Dark Descent introduced so many amazing concepts to the horror genre and did them all extraordinarily. it's story is also one of the most sad and depraved of any game I've played and discovering more and more as I played kept me engaged until the end. While there's certainly a lot to love, this game does have its fair share of negatives, the main one being how it's aged. While I do think the game being made in 2010 makes it kinda impossible for it to age perfectly, the textures are decently low quality, the AI can be somewhat buggy, and the game could've benefited from some more general modern polishing. Additionally, the cutscenes are very jarring and interrupt the flow of the game and while the sanity mechanic is great for horror, it can get very annoying especially on hard mode. The ending also left me a tad underwhelmed. I was really hoping for a climactic final boss and while the ending, or endings, work on a story/emotional level they don't completely feel like a reward for completing the game. Finally, the shadow in this game feels like a pretty half-baked antagonist, mostly due to the fact that it's only physical form is piles of flesh (which admittedly look disgusting and awesome). I think giving the shadow more of a presence through a physical form or maybe voice would've helped it feel like much more of a threat, as piles of flesh spawning next to you is not super clever or interesting. Furthermore, the addition of Justine as a DLC-esque experience really confuses me, as there's basically nothing that ties Justine to the base game besides one easily missable note. While I thought the gameplay was fine enough, the fact that death sends you back to the beginning and that it only lasts for about 20 minutes makes me wonder why it was even included. Why was it not just properly fleshed out into a full game, and why is only accessible through a menu that only pops up when launching the game through Steam? Overall, Amnesia: the Dark Descent cements itself as one of the best and most iconic horror games with an oppressive atmosphere, terrifying gameplay, and bone-chilling narrative. While I think future Amnesia games such as the Bunker are much better, this was a fantastic start, especially for a game made by a small group in 2010. This game innovated on the horror genre in so many impactful ways and those impacts are still seen and felt a=in gaming today. If you're looking for a tight and engaging experience that still packs plenty of good horror, this game is perfect for you. 8.75/10
MUY BUENO. ES UN CLÁSICO!
Yeah it's old and a slow burn, but once it gets good it gets GOOD.
