Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 18 → 6.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Watching it was scary. Playing it was unforgettable. I grew up watching Amnesia: The Dark Descent, mostly through PewDiePie’s videos. Back then, actually playing it felt way too intimidating, so I experienced it from behind a screen instead. Even then, the atmosphere, fear, and tension stuck with me. Years later, finally getting the chance to play it myself was something special. Knowing what to expect didn’t make it any less intense — if anything, it made it better. The sound design, the slow-building dread, and the way the game messes with your nerves are incredibly effective. Every step forward feels earned, and every mistake makes your heart drop. What surprised me most was how much fun it still is. Not just scary, but genuinely enjoyable. It’s the kind of horror that pulls you in rather than relying on cheap scares, and it rewards patience and curiosity. Growing up watching it and eventually experiencing it firsthand made the whole thing even more meaningful. It’s a classic horror game for a reason, and it absolutely holds up.

It's Amnesia. One of the grand daddies of modern horror games. At this point you probably already know if you're gonna play this or not. It's aged pretty well and is worth checking out even 15 years later.

Best game ever made.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent still has some of the most unique and immersive environmental art design I've ever seen in a video game, contributing to a heightened sense of dread as you creep your way through Brennenburg Castle and its eerily off-putting soundscapes. Every monster encounter feels tense--and dare I say rewarding to experience thanks to it, and I don't think my appreciation for this game and what it did for the horror genre in interactive media will ever wane.
The OG Scary Game. Barely any game these days scares as this one did.
This is the only horror game that actually makes me anxious while playing. I can't really explain why. I have played this game so many times and seen others play it. It instills the same feelings of fear and anxiety in me now as it did 10 years ago. The only 10/10 horror game, just flawless
