Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 7.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you're comparing this to Overcooked when thinking of buying it, here's how I compare the two: Overcooked was a much higher stress and faster-paced game, but Plate Up! is actually more relaxing. I like that it's a roguelike type of game, and losing actually just makes the game easier. I like it far more than Overcooked, and I recommend you give it a try if Overcooked was stressful for you, but you liked the gameplay.
Read the achievements, learned I needed to set people on fire, Accidentally set the whole resteraunt on fire and gained 3 achievements. Great game. Super replayable and has great modding community.

You'll take orders, cook their food, serve them, and clean their plates, doing fast enough so the next customer don't wait for too long for their turn. Pros: - Different playstyle when played solo or coop - Different recipes with different difficulty - A lot of room to experiment - Accessibility options for those who want to make the game harder or easier Cons: - Smaller maps limit you from going further after the endgame Specs AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 16GB RAM, AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT
Should you buy this game?
If you enjoy playing restaurant management game that focus on cooking and serving the customers, buy this game.

In-Depth Review

The Game
Gameplay PlateUp! is a restaurant simulator roguelike where you run a restaurant. Your main goal is to make sure that it's not closed, which is achieved by serving all available customers without running out their patience. Each day has a certain number of customers that will increase on the next day. The game has 15 main days in total, which will extend into overtime days after you finish it, allowing for endless runs. In PlateUp!, you do everything: arranging your restaurant, taking the customer's order, cooking their food, serving the food to the customers, and even cleaning up the tables and washing the dirty plates to use it on the next order. All of this will be done by you, and possibly your friends too if you play in co-op. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3391067364 The game changes significantly when played solo and co-op. In solo, it's all about automation—how you can do all or at least some of the tasks without lifting a finger because you'll be overwhelmed otherwise. In co-op, especially 4 person, it's all about dividing your roles and trying to focus on that. Sometimes it will be chaotic, but it's meant to be played that way. The game will balance itself based on the number of players, giving more customers if you play with more people and less if you play with less people. However, it doesn't seem to accommodate a save that was initially played solo and then moved to co-op play. There would be a lack of upgrades and money to cater to the influx of customers, with some people ending up doing nothing but watching the restaurant close without being able to do anything. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3574586115 PlateUp! offers a lot of customizations. You can choose one out of several main recipes that your restaurant can serve and the restaurant's layout. A bigger layout would always be preferable if you are planning for extended play, especially since you need to buy items to either try to automate some tasks or get more seats for your hungry customers. Playing the game with different recipes will always make the game fresh. Each recipe requires different ways to prepare, forcing you to plan differently. Moreover, the upgrades that you must take after a few levels might or might not add more menu items to your restaurant, increasing its complexity. This forces you to always rearrange your restaurant to adjust to the change. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394328374 The upgrades that come after a few levels will make the game harder. You are forced to choose between two options: one is usually a recipe addition to your restaurant, and the other is usually something that will make the game harder, such as decreasing the customer's patience. Taking a new recipe will reduce the number of customers you get the next day, although it might not be worth the hassle of adjusting to a new recipe. At the end of the day, it's all your choice and preferences, though you might not always have the luxury to choose the option that you want since you might lose if your restaurant isn't designed to handle the outcome. Length and Difficulty I finished the game mainly in 4-player co-op. We finished all 15 main days in 4.5h, and it took me 33h to get all achievements. I reached the overtime day 15 that is needed for an achievement in co-op and grinded the rest of the achievements solo. The game's difficulty will depend on how many people are playing and what recipe you are doing, and if that's not enough, the game's newest update allows you to increase or decrease the game's difficulty even further.
Conclusion
PlateUp! is a chaotic restaurant simulation game that can be played with up to 4 people. Its gameplay becomes vastly different when played singleplayer and co-op. Personally, I prefer it more on co-op since it is more chaotic and fun, although the automation gamestyle in the singleplayer mode is also interesting. If you enjoy playing a restaurant simulation game with a focus on cooking and serving the customers, this is your game.
play a lot with my girl, she loves this ♥♥♥♥ and gets super seriously every time we play, then gets mad when i mess up great variety and replayability with the rouge-like mechanics, and the fact that gameplay varies greatly for solo, duo, and group, cute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the fun comes from the chaos and stress of managing a kitchen that the game really closely simulates, server connection could be better, some bugs here and there but nothing game breaking would recommend if your girl is cute when mad
To anyone on the fence about this game, treat yourself. You are missing out if you don't play this. It is silly, excellent nonsense of the highest caliber. 10/10 Top quality game. If you think it looks stupid, you are correct. It LOOKS stupid. However, the game itself is absolute FIRE. The creators decided to put ALL their efforts into the functionality of the game and I appreciate that. It's an incredibly addictive masterpiece. If you can't handle the awesome little gummy people, you are missing out. Beneath the cute and silly wrapper, there is a complex and excellent game. Roguelike Restaurant Sim. Everything is fast-paced, but easy and fun. It's intense but in a goofy way. You get a fun puzzle builder aspect as you get more upgraded. This game absolutely tickles me to no end. Solo is fun. Two player is fun. Multiplayer is fun. It has tons of replay value, difficulty levels, and interesting new twists. What is not to love? It is a good time, especially once you start understanding how to build the mechanized, automated version of whatever you are doing. Some of those runs were epic. It is the type of game that anyone can pick up and enjoy, solo or with friends. I'm sure I echo everyone in the community when I say, PLEASE BRING BACK THE NORTH POLE AS A REGULAR LOCATION. Please and thank you, my wonderful developers! We appreciate that the North Pole comes around for the winter seasons. We want MORE. MOOOOOOAR. Please?
Fun game! However, it's really difficult to play solo. I usually can't get past 4 or 5 stars, and a lot of it depends on RNG. I wish the game were a bit more forgiving for solo players because it's hard to multitask when so many things are happening at once. It would also be great if there were a perk or upgrade that lets you hire AI/bot employees and assign them to specific roles or jobs to help manage the restaurant. Overall, it's a fun game, but it definitely feels like it's designed more for multiplayer than solo play.
Short version: I have never liked these "control chaos" type of games that much. It seems to be a good one of those. It's fun with friends, just not for me. Going into more detail, this is not a management sim. The game is not about building the restaurant of your dreams and improving it with the profits. It's about trying to keep up with the constantly increasing demand until you eventually fail. I like to have at least some meta-progression in my games, here you can at best start with some extra benefits but you'll still fail eventually. Maybe workshop mods could change this, I didn't check since we just played with normal settings. That said, with friends the serving part is fun. Even though the cooking is always just a variation on pressing use button until the food is ready. There's plenty of cooperation needed to make it through the later days. You can even automate some of your kitchen if you're lucky enough to get the required upgrades. I can recommend this if you like these types of games, especially if you have friends to play with. Like I said, I personally don't really enjoy doing the same thing from the start over and over again for a long time.
If you are looking for a fun game to play with friends, this is it. I grew up playing a lot of Papa Louie games, and this is just a better version of those with multiplayer. Prepare to burn your burgers and laugh at your friend who did that, only to realize you forgot to wash that plate and your restaurant is now going to go bankrupt! Perfect blend of silly and fun for a friend group.
Great game. Great devs are still updating it, even though there is enough content to keep you going for a long time. Great with friends, but also works just fine solo.
