forgot how scary this game is lol. Throwback
i want Justine to do unthinkable things to me
A solid horror game that holds up really well. I was actually quite surprised by how much of a Walking Sim this felt like. Whilst not one completely, its mechanics were very light with puzzles and enemy encounters that were far from demanding. Given how A Machine for Pigs was criticized for being too different, I found the two games noticeably similar. What I found to be this game's strongest aspect was how well it immersed me. The use of sound and narration to convey just how much suffering people underwent at this mansion was top notch. I also enjoyed the aristocratic setting and felt it progressed well, becoming more corrupted as you descend. The enemy designs were great and super memorable, and the water section was easily the most tense in the game. There was good lore and worldbuilding here as you slowly learn more about the setting and Daniel's role within the game's events. My only real issue was that I found the ending to be underwhelming and anticlimactic. Otherwise, I enjoyed it and can see why it had YouTube in a stranglehold all those years ago. I loved seeing Stephano again. It's an easy recommendation if you're looking for a nice, and less demanding, horror experience.
Esto da un miedo de la hostia
