Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 17 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
The game is fun especially in Co-Op. But the problem is this game is so unbelievably buggy that it's really not playable. Even with the overhaul mod that's supposed to fix things almost every level had some sort of game breaking bug that caused us to have to restart the checkpoint or even the entire game. We were on level 9 and beat the entire mission and while watching the cutscene it just randomly cut off and sent us back to the previous check point. Well we got the achievement for beating the level so we figured we could just go back to the lobby and start the next mission... Nope. Had to beat the mission all over again and we just did not have the willpower to do that so at that point we just decided to drop the game. This game really is fun for what it is just a cool little co-op alien shooter but the bugs really just make it way more of a hassle than it's worth which is a shame because I was really looking forward to beating this game.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The enemy AI is a joke, but a very funny joke. It's likely you've already guessed the full story line too, but I have to say, it's incredibly fun to play. Multiplayer is dead, so it's only campaign and co-op, still worth the price though, just have fun.
Do you like to play bad games as a guilty pleasure? Go for it. Is the game dirt cheap? Sure. Do you like Alien? Well, at this point you might as well play it. But seriously, only play this if you answer yes to these questions. Otherwise, there are way better games out there. I just happen to play bad games as a guilty pleasure. Please take this into account, as this is a very conditioned recommended review. Ok, if you want a really really good Alien game, go play Isolation, plain and simple. Now, Aliens Colonial Marines suffered one of the firsts popular downgrades during E3 2012, and people are too hung up on that demo and think "Oh the game we could've gotten." And I'll be honest, that game was maybe there graphically speaking, because all the stuff behind that shiny demo, I guarantee you, it was still going to be the same thing and everything would've turned out the same. With that being said. Aliens CM is an interesting game, it has some cool references to the source material, there's some love there but it never quite gets there on what it tries to achieve. Some vistas look very good, and some areas have a good atmosphere. You will visit some familiar places like LV-426, features familiar cameos, and there are some good moments through out the campaign, but don't think your're going to get an amazing story telling experience. It's a cheesy, and predictable campaign. I liked it. Gunplay, oof, this is one is a hard miss. Some weapons feel good, like the shotguns are amazing to pulverize Xenos, but others like the Pulse Rifle feels very off, and it always feels like you're not hitting anyone. Don't know, it always feels weird to shoot. Xeno fights = fun, Humans = not so much because of this, and feels unbalanced. Regarding the AI, PLEASE search how to fix this, as it's a very simple typo fix to do that improves the game, because it fixes the AI, but don't think it's an amazing AI because of this. It will still cheat, and you will see the enemies, specially Xenos, pass through and ignore your teammates to get to you. Didn't like that. At this point getting the Collection is basically super cheap, which has the positive of getting the Interrupted Stasis DLC, which is a fun small campaign featuring a familiar character. It's a tie in between Aliens and Alien 3. I can't comment on MP, or the other modes, because they are basically dead unless you play with friends. And always remember: Gearbox fckd up this game, as they blatantly shifted resources to Borderlands 2 and just wanted this game out of the way, did wrong on the franchise and the player base.
I've bought the game on 90% discount. Really wanted the reviews are wrong and the game is not so bad. Unfortunately, it is... There is so many things wrong with it, it's not worth wasting time enumerating them. The saddest thing is that so much was invested in the game, while it's never been thoroughly tested, which result in broken gameplay and mechanics (which create frustration), bad lighting and dull texturing. (visibility issues and below average level design impression). Pity, since the game have potential. If remastered with care, it could be much better.
Aliens: Colonial Marines sees you take on the role of Colonial Marines, investigating an alien infestation on the Sulaco. As expected given its source material, CM is an action-focused Alien game, with an emphasis on consistent gunplay and waves of Xenomorphs and other enemies to gun down. To keep it short, I am a massive fan of the Alien franchise, so despite all the negative sentiment surrounding this game, I had to check it out for myself anyway. And unfortunately I have to report that people are right, Aliens: Colonial Marines is really underwhelming. On a single positive note, I can say that you do in fact to get shoot lots of Xenomorphs, so if that's your goal then it will be fulfilled. But other than that there's just consistent disappointment. Overall gunplay feels jank and unsatisfying, the story is nothing memorable and the cutscenes with it are dated even for when it was released. There's still a modest amount of gameplay bugs abound, and for a game and a franchise so focused on fighting Xenomorphs, you spend an insane amount of game time fighting human enemies, nearly 50%. Even with its regularly-discounted sale price, I can't recommend Aliens: Colonial Marines even for the most diehard fan. If you're looking for the Aliens action-horror in game form, I'd recommend you instead check out Aliens: Fireteam Elite, an overall higher quality entry in the Aliens franchise compared to this.
If you are a fan of the first 2 alien movies, you will enjoy this game. If you are a fan of the older Halo's, you will enjoy this game. I love the pulse rifle sound, same one from the movies!
It's nothing special but for the price I got it for which was next to nothing, it proved to be a fun time with some friends and just getting through the title. I wish there was more to it overall as this had the ability to truly do something special but if you're buying it now, you already know what's up. Either find some people that you can enjoy these types of games with or maybe steer clear.
It's as bad as you think it is. Story, performance, visuals, animations, AI, combat, and everything else is horrible. Not good in solo or co-op. Play Fireteam Elite or Isolation instead.
Como um grande fã da franquia ALIEN, gostei demais do game, mas nada supera o isolation
