Alien: Isolation

Hands down, one of the best horror games I’ve played. I’ve played it through several times and it never gets old. The fear factor never goes away because each gameplay is different- aside from the storyline which the game follows. The alien learns from each player with its unique ai powered programming that was ahead of its time during the initial release of the game. To this day, the aliens programming still is unmatched by any game so far. Something I’ve learned, is the more unpredictable the player becomes- the more unpredictable the alien becomes as well. There’s also plenty of opportunities between objectives to explore different areas of Sevastopol. This means more loot, finding things you missed the first time through, or gaining access to parts of the map you couldn’t previously due to insufficient tools. Awesome game, can’t wait to play the sequel.

If you love the Alien series this is a must. The atmosphere, vibes and the sound of this game is perfectly Alien/s. It is one of the most almost always tense horror games i've played, even in the safer areas the sound design and build up alone can keep you on edge & stressed. The game still looks incredible today and the enviroments are quite detailed. The facial animations and human npcs are rather rigid and unnatural outside of cutscenes but its not a real issue for a game like this. Dealing with the Alien etc can get tedious and annoying on occasion but that tends to be the case with stealth horror games, overall its a good game and a must if you like Alien. Again the overall atmosphere is incredible.

Agréablement surpris par ce jeu qui retranscrit bien le contexte angoissant du film . Un jeu du chat et de la souris très stressant avec de belles peurs de temps en temps . Discrétion obligatoire sur ce jeu sinon c'est la mort assurée . Malgré son âge un jeu encore très beau , et d'actualité , je recommande .

This game is such a fantastic addition to the Alien universe. Its story ties very nicely into the story of the 1979 movie, and the game absolutely nails the retro-futuristic visual style, sound design and atmosphere of Alien. There are some pacing issues towards the end of story, where it kinda drags on, but that wasn't enough to affect my enjoyment of the game.
