Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best RU #60, worst BR #84 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 27.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The first time I played Alan Wake was at its release. During this time Remedy delivered a storytelling masterpiece with a captivating dark atmosphere. However, clunky and repetitive gameplay is blurring the complete concept. It follows the pattern: Run around, use your flashlight to weaken enemies, shoot them, sometimes dodge them, end. Still regarding the storytelling Alan Wake is a must play.

What an enjoyable experience to kick off my summer, Alan Wake 1 was an unexpected hit for me! I knew absolutely nothing about the Alan Wake series, its story, or literally anything it had in store for me. The whole series was only really brought to my attention when Alan Wake 2 came out at the end of 2023, I don't know how I dodged any mention of Alan Wake before then lol but here we are, and I'm so grateful I dived deeper! While the game definitely shows its age through its graphics, the gameplay was really smooth. Dodging was satisfying with a nice little dopamine hit shown with the cinematic slowdown every time you hit a perfect dodge, guns and ordinances felt fun to use, I don't remember a moment when I felt frustrated with the actual combat outside of just being unprepared for the average upcoming fight sprung on me suddenly. A highlight for me was the episodic sort of feel each section of the game presented itself as, the little cliffhangers at the end of each 'episode', cutting to a black screen met with playing a different song each time was fun, it reminded of me of some fun, campy mystery show I was tuning into binge watch. I always looked forward to that and actually adding the songs to my playlist if I liked them, as well as just getting to the actual story afterwards lol. Speaking of which, Alan Wake 1's story is really, really creative and intriguing. I've never seen really anything like it especially with how the idea is executed. The core of how the world and story works is very creative, with the writing and the pages and everything (I don't know why I'm trying to avoid spoilers as much as possible, this is a 16 year old game lol). But I don't think I could say the same about the dialogue. Not in a bad way! The dialogue and actual, episode to episode story beats and how we get there all felt really basic to me in the same way as, like I said, a fun, campy mystery show would do. We have the comic relief character, badass cop lady character, Alan as the sort of hard boiled, quippy male protagonist, it was all fairly basic feeling to me in that it was a cozy, simple and enjoyable to digest and play episode by episode. While Alan Wake didn't reinvent the 'horror gaming' wheel, it made a lot of creative, fun and experimental decisions with the core of its story that lends itself to be uniquely its own thing, led by interesting twists and turns, endearing characters, fun writing, smooth gameplay and combat, and an atmosphere that all combines to be a horror classic, 7.5/10.
